A baseball player once prayed to God that if he would be faithful and pray everyday if God would help his team win their playoff game. His team lost. It didn't occur to him that people on the other team may have been praying a similar prayer. Prayer isn's meant to be a test or a bargain you make with God. It's a way to worship him, to demonstrate faith. God has an agenda and man has an agenda and God's is far more important than man's. Stop being so selfish in your prayer, ultimately God knows what is best for you.

Dude, some people will laugh at this because it's like "omg is he for real????", and you probably didn't realize that you sounded kind of ....well, irrational.
HOwever, please just realize something. Seriously. GOD,...isn't real. He can't help you win contests. It's all BS man it really is, the only thing thats real is nature.
It's all bs.
contests are LUCK. you cant play mind games, and make promises to god and promise to be a better person b ecause NO ONE ELSE IS LISTENING.
ur playing mind games.
wake up and smell the hot coffee!

The entire concept of prayer is ridiculous. You think your god has a perfect plan, and yet he changes it based on human whims?
Also, wouldn't winning because you prayed be really unfair to the other contestants?

God is an actual person, not a genie. First of all He doesn't have to do anything. Secondly put yourself is His shoes. If you were God and He was you, what would you have thought or done? How would this question make you feel?

God is not Santa Claus. He knew that you were better off not winning.

Maybe because your invisible sky-friend doesn't actually exist. Just a thought.
Of course, maybe he does, and he's just testing you in some pointlessly convoluted and rather insipid way. But I doubt it.
