This just depends on what you believe. Some people believe in reincarnation, and others don't. However, I don't remember reincarnation being in the Bible.
I know this isn't Biblical either, but I've been to a psychic, and in the room with me she saw my deceased mother, aunt, and 2 grandmothers. I didn't tell her that these women were dead. She explained "the other side" to me as a place we go to be with our relatives and "spirit guides", and people we have been with in past lives. Maybe this is heaven, I don't know. She said we have past lives because we are always learning, and if we don't succeed in accomplishing a "task" that is put before us in one lifetime, we will have the same "task" to overcome in the next.
For example, she told a friend of mine that her brother-in-law is an alcoholic and drug abuser (which he is) and that he has been one for several lifetimes, and he will not overcome this problem in this lifetime either.
Seeing someone like this who has insight into another world did not shake my faith at all, in fact it strenghthened it, and made me think that God is all the more glorious!

I'm so sorry for the death of your aunt. The Bible is the only place to find the answers to your question.

There is no place in the Bible that says anyone sees God for a few seconds and then goes back to earth as someone else.
God told us we would go back to the ground when we die. Jesus explained death as sleeping, awaiting for the resurrection after Armageddon. Jesus also said at John 5:28 & 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. They will be themselves, not someone different.

Your friend is dumb. It sounds like he's trying to teach you about reincarnation or something.

The truth may bother you, but it's still the truth.

When you die, you're dead. "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it" (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

The spirit is NOT conscious, or alive; it's an angent that GIVES life. "And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man BECAME a LIVING soul" (Genesis 2:7).

When you die you are said to go to sheol (Greek: hades) where "the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward" (Ecclesiastes 9:5) because "there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave [sheol, hades], whither thou goest" (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

Jesus compares it to a sleep: "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep" (John 11:11).

But, it is not permanent. One day the resurrection will come and the righteous will be rewarded, and the unrighteous punished. "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting [Hebrew: owlam] life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt" (Daniel 12:2).

Your aunt is simply sleeping but will awake one day with you.

Both are wrong. Souls move on to Heaven or Hell when God comes back for the saved. On Judgment Day souls will be sentenced.

When you die you will live with God forever, or the Devil, depending on how you lived your life. Your aunt is probably with God, and your friend isnt Biblically correct.

what church did your friend go to? honey, your aunt is still in Heaven with God, he would not send her back after a few seconds. I doubt he will send her back period. think about it, you think God would say" hi, glad to see ya, take care your being born again right now" no that does not happen. your aunt is in great hands with the Lord and wishing you and her kids a great and happy life. think about what she would want you to do? does she want to see you crying or does she want you to be happy? she is watching and cares so much, make her proud.

How would they know what heaven is like? I personally don't believe in God or heaven. However, please do not be offended that I don't believe your aunt is in heaven. Saying that I don't believe your aunt is heaven is not to say that I don't believe your aunt is worthy of a place like heaven.
