Dose this sport seem ungodly or is it ok? Is it any worse than the rest? Should Christians be partakers with such things as this? Putting their bodys in danger, the alcohol sponsers. The filthy talking. (Kyle Petty two weeks ago)

"A reflection of you" when people die on the highway they have no choice but to travel.
Aren't our bodys the temple of God? Is this wrong to be harmful to our bodys. We have been raised sine our youth to not use illegal drugs, not to drink alcohol, not to smoke. Is chooseing to drive past a concrete wall at 200 mph and different? What about the association of Jack Daniels and driving fast? Is this a good combo?

It's like everything else in life. Good and bad. I do know they have a traveling church. They do a lot of charity work.
I have been convicted at our local track before just being around so many drinking partying people, it can be very ungodly. Christians should keep away from this.
As far as the ads it does have an effect on people or the sponsors would not participate. I once was watching a Mc Donalds commercial and saw a goofy looking young man pulling fries out of the fryer and it made me hungry. I had to buy fries latter that day. That is the only commercial that has struck me that way. That was food and not alcohol.
We should always resist anything that pulls us away from God.
TV stations are at fault for allowing the foul language on the air.

This is a good question.. NASCAR has not influenced me in over 35 years to drink or smoke or anything like this.. It has however been a challenge to keep it from becoming obsessive.. but I do not have a sat tv, so to watch it when it is there doesn't happen here.. I listen to the radio while I work.that makes it less obsessive. My wife and I almost spent a large sum of money to go to TMS in the spring, but there were no seats I wanted available. so it can become a block in a person life that would constitute a false god.. and that IS VERY BAD..

I'm not a Christian, but NASCAR is the most well policed sport in the world. So they have one beer sponsor. The drivers are typically fined $10,000 for cussing. They don't drink and drive on or off the field, and they sponsor world wide charities. Compare that with any other sport out there.

NASCAR's okay. I don't watch it personally, since I find it a little boring.
Christ liked the Temple, but not the money changers who made worship a business for profit (a den of thieves!!!). The money changers sure put their bodies in danger when Christ came after them with that whip!

you're picking on nascar for being ungodly? lol, there are more ungodly things out there.
but honestly, this whole LIFE by nature is ungodly. look at nature, how animals kill others.
GOD DOESNT EXIST> only NATURE does.
its really really a tough break. thats just how it is, and it sucks and nothing we can do about it.
yes nascar is NOT OF GOD, but many things arent. and they really dont care either.

I watched nascar for damn near 11 years. NO MORE! Not because its immoral or anything, but it I am convinced it is the automobile equivalent of the WWE. It is set up and its all for show, not sport.

Nascar sucks whether christian or not. What fun is it to watch someone drive a car in circles for hours? I don't get it. However the Bible says to think on or dwell on things that are holy, true and lovely. SO I think that is the simplest and to the point answer.

Personally, I think it's stupid and pointless. Probably not sinful unless you take the massive waste of gas into account. It can't be good for the environment or our brain cells.

Its the only sport that prays to God before its events.....Alcohol is not a sin.............they have a Church that travels with NASCAR to each event............you need to get a clue............putting bodies in danger? More people have died on the roads in my town ( Dallas ) than in all NASCAR races combined, am I sinning when I drive?
