A new Christian must personally dedicate himself to serve God, obey Christ, and follow the leadings of the holy spirit. Interestingly, Matthew 28:19,20 has always been closely associated with the focus of true Christianity (such as is practiced by Jehovah's Witnesses).

(Matthew 28:19-20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Jehovah's Witnesses do not want anyone to get baptized even one moment before he is ready (and qualified).
Becoming baptized as a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. Generally, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness requires hard work and determination.
Baptism has important spiritual meaning, related to one's relationship with God and Christ. Of course, a dedication can be made in one's heart, and of course a heart-felt dedication is more important than any half-hearted immersion in water.
(1 Peter 3:15,16) But sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts... Hold a good conscience
(Ephesians 3:17-19) Have the Christ dwell through your faith in your hearts with love; that you may be rooted and established on the foundation... and to know the love of the Christ
(1 Peter 3:21) This is also now saving you, namely, baptism, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request made to God for a good conscience,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Biblical way of Baptism is being immersed completely into water, in the name of the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We are not baptized into a church, we are supposed to be Baptized into Christ. Churches that Baptize you into their church are instilling fear, that if you leave the church, you have lost your Salvation. That is just not true, No one can take your Baptism away from you, once you are baptized into Christ. (even if you were to leave the church)

The water baptism that Jesus Christ outlined at Matthew 28:19 is different from John’s baptism; it is done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit. Shortly after Jesus uttered those words, namely, at Pentecost, the apostle Peter, when speaking to the assembled crowd about forgiveness and Christian baptism, directed special attention to what they as Jews and proselytes especially needed, saying: “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.” Following that statement he explained “with many other words” and exhorted them: “Get saved from this crooked generation.” Thus they learned details about Jehovah’s purposes and could see that there would be no salvation by remaining under the Jewish system of things. To receive holy spirit they must accept Jehovah’s provision through his Son. They were able personally to determine to do Jehovah’s will. As a result, about three thousand individuals were baptized “in the name of Jesus Christ” on that day. This does not mean that the baptism there performed washed away their sins. No, it was the shed blood of Christ Jesus in which they exercised faith that cleansed them from their sins

And here is Debbie misleading people again!
She said: "So Jesus with the force of this holy spirit from God became the anointed one or Christ.
When we are baptized we also get Jehovah's holy spirit.
It is his helper for us."
Sounds like she is telling you that JW baptism allows you to become a joint heir with Christ doesn't it? Not true!
_______
Carol is correct, they are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. UNbiblical.
Their baptism is only permitted after successfully passing the quizzing of Elders. This is a Watchtower Commandment, not God's... On top of this instead of being baptized as a follower of Jesus, they are baptized as a committed member of the Watchtower Society by having to agree to the following terms:
(1) On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
(2) Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization?

Right before being dunked, he elder said, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit"
BUT
During the "dedication talk" given to the baptismal candidates, you are asked 2 questions. One of which states that being baptized constitutes you are being baptized as one of JW's.
In my opinion, you are also being baptized in their name also.
HOW WRONG!!!

2 years ago I decided to get re-baptized as a Christian, because when I got baptized as a witness, i didn't know who Jesus really was...so I was unable to make a dedication to him.

Jehovah God made provision for us to be one of his Witnesses. And that provision is a public demonstration of baptism.
Jesus showed us the way we should do this. John baptized Jesus by putting him under the water and raising him back up. Jehovah's holy spirit came upon Jesus and Jehovah's voice was heard. This is my son, the beloved, I have approved him.
So Jesus with the force of this holy spirit from God became the anointed one or Christ.
When we are baptized we also get Jehovah's holy spirit.
It is his helper for us.
So when we get baptized we have to recognize and have grateful expression for Jesus who showed the way...the holy spirit to help us be good Witnesses and of course Jehovah our father who made it possible to reconcile us back to him.
