NO! Sin is a Christian concept. Although the word actually means to miss the mark in archery. God does not barter or bargain. As much as we try, we can not buy our way into heaven with deeds or dough.

not at all
sin (any sin) is disobedance of god
dont kill dont steal dont lieand the most important is dont jettison god from your life
thats the definition.
you earn a place in hell by doing one, just one time ever, thats the rule of sin
there has been made one exception to this
all can be forgiven but one the sin of unbelief.
the dichotomy (dual nature of sin and salvation) is opposing fatalist views
one is completely safe or completely condemmed, by his own choice,
God is the arbiter and truthsayer of your intentions in the end, not the judge everyone fears hates or loves

in this view you are forgiven sin
or you have not asked to be forgiven
heaven
hell

the actual judgement for ourselves is in our hands.

let us use the word redemption- what does it mean to redeem something-
as a simple explanation what does it mean to redeem a coupon that says- free milk- you hand the coupon to the checker and he or she gives you the milk free-
Jesus is our redemption- He gives us freedom from sin, and hell - how- by paying the price we could not pay- how do we redeem this- accept it- take the gift. simple as that. There is not bartering here- Jesus paid the price- we can do nothing to convince God to give us eternal life-

No. Jesus Christ died for the sins, so he made the payment. The bill was rung up by everyone down here, and the payer of that bill was Jesus Christ.

Repentance of those sins and faith in Christ accepts that payment.

It's like that.
