Any Christian scholar of Christian history will readily confirm that after the famous council of Nicea (325 AD), the church of St. Paul (The Roman Catholic Church) selected out of the over three hundred Gospels in their possession the four that most closely conformed to their doctrines. All others were ordered completely destroyed because they were considered "Apocrypha" (which actually means "hidden from the people"). Some of these were written by disciples of Jesus (pbuh), and not disciples of disciples, who had never met Jesus (pbuh), such as Paul. If these destroyed Gospels were not more authentic than the current selection then they were at least of equal authenticity. The church also ruled that all Gospels written in Hebrew were to be destroyed. An edict was issued that anyone found in possession of an unauthorized Gospel would be put to death. Countless numbers of Christians were then systematically killed as heretics and burned at the stake if they maintained their belief in the divine Unity of God and did not conform to the innovative teachings of Paul. It is well known that this practice continued until at least the year 1616 AD.

Fortunately there was one Gospel -that I know of-, which was saved although it does not agree with the teachings of St. Paul, this Gospel is the Gospel of Barnabas, there is one copy of it in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, and another one in the British museum. A new printing has been made off of these copies and it is available today. This Gospel agrees with the Quran and mentions Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by name.

Some quotations from the Gospel of Barnabas:

In reply to a question by Philip, Prophet Jesus said: "God alone hath no equal. He hath had no beginning, nor will he ever have a end, ... He hath no sons, nor brethern, nor companions." (Gospel of Barnabas: 17).

"... Verily ye have erred greatly, O Israelites, in calling me, a man, your God. ... I confess before heaven, ... that I am a stranger to all that ye have said; seeing that I am man, born of a mortal woman, subject to the judgment of God, suffering the miseries of eating and sleeping, of cold and heat, like other men, Whereupon when God shall come to judge, my words like a sword shall pierce each one (of them) that believe me to be more than man," (Gospel of Barnabas: 93).

Muhammad ...Do you realize that Messiah and Christ have the same meaning? Doesn't this false Gospel of Barnabas refer to Jesus as the Christ and say he is not the Messiah?
Is this not against the teaching of the Qu'ran? This book also refers to Muhammad as the Messiah. this also is against the teachings of the Qu'ran. This book is a proven fraud and is not even in agreement with the Qu'ran in any way but in demeaning the deity of Jesus Christ.

Barnabas never claimed to have met Christ you know. And Barnabas was a really close friend of Paul, in fact some believe Barnabas baptized Paul.

1. No gospel, not even any of the apocryphal gospels, was written by anyone who actually knew Jesus.

2. The Gospel of Barnabas was written at the very earliest in the 14th century, so it holds no weight whatsoever with anyone other than Muslim apologists.

I could not have positioned it bigger myself!!! You are so thoroughly correct that it is unhappy. I had been puttering round right here on R&S for fairly a at the same time now, and I believe my hair is permantly fried. I honestly have not contributed a lot considering that of all of the hateful language - and a entire lot of that has been from "Christians". I am so completely satisfied that there are others who trust me. We, as believers, have to discover that if Jesus have been right here within the flesh (once more), that the very humans that we, as "Christians", are condemning through our hateful language might be the very humans that he might opt for to be with, and extra importantly, to like. I want extra humans would see that. Thank you for being one. On behalf of Christians available in the market who are not that approach, I desire to say sorry to the non-believers for the detest that has been despatched your approach. It does NOT come from all believers.

it is a fourteenth-century forgery "discovered" to validate islam.
The Gosple of Barnabas was a medieval psyops by the muslim calipha.

Imagine someone claimed to find a new sura in the Muslim Qur’an. However, the earliest copy was not in Arabic, nor in a language of the Bible, but in Spanish and Italian in the Middle Ages. Imagine there were things in the sura that contradicted what was in the rest of the Qur’an, as well as the Bible. Imagine that it also contained historical errors.

Since it Contradicts both the Bible and Qur’an I am surprised you would promote it as the true gosple. That does not seem to make much sense

It is sad that your people created fake gosples and attribute them to god...isn't that some kind of sin? To make lies about god?

Since you want to get into it, how many suras where left out of the Quran by Uthman?

If Jesus' claims were true and the New Testament is a true testimony, then there is no need for a Last Prophet, and indeed Jesus is Messiah and Saviour. So inevitably Mohammed and his supporters had to find ways to try to discredit the New Testament. Mohammed left this earth in his sins, having led a life rejecting the Saviour God provided for him as well as all men. There's absolutely no way he will be going to heaven imo, he was deceived and rejected God's offer of forgiveness of his sins. His fallen-angel provided 'revelation' has unfortunately led many astray; they have inherited his rejection of God's provided Saviour - hence I'm glad I was not born in a muslim country - its a grace to be born in a Western country where one can freely investigate and freely choose religion.

John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that * all who believe in Him * will not perish but have eternal life.

Of false prophets Jesus said "by their fruit you will know them". This means their will be personal sin, e.g. unrestrained sexual indulgence or sinful rages resulting in violence. Jesus warns people in advance that smooth words aren't enough to know a person comes from or speaks for God.

The Gospels that are recorded in the Bible today are there because those are the Gospels the Lord wanted to be there period.

There is only one name under Heaven in which people can be saved and that is JESUS, the Christ---not Mohammed
