US Senate to open with Hindu prayers
27 Jun 2007, 0437 hrs

NEW YORK: History will be created when a Hindu prayer will be recited at the opening of the US Senate in Washington DC on July 12.

Rajan Zed, a Hindu chaplain, said that he had been officially asked to say the prayer. He said he believes this may be the first time any Hindu prayer is delivered in the Senate since its formation in 1789.

We were created to go through life as a test and worship God. But why he wants us to worship him? God wants attention? God wants to feel empowered?

Words of the Rabbis Opposing Zionism -

Those who assist the Zionists will pay at the Day of Judgment, because they are causing the masses to sin. Therefore, whoever is on the side of G-d and his Torah shall not join with evildoers and not become attached to them. On the contrary, they should oppose them as much as possible."

Is Christianity the true religion or is it a false religion? The reason why I ask is because I asked a question about whether Messianic Judaism was Judaism or Christianity and some of The Jews were saying that it's heresy to believe in Jesus as the Messiah and somebody gave me a link to a site that had this link in it. Link's right here as to why the Jews don't accept Jesus as the Messiah:

I hear people say that Goid gave people "free will" because He wanted to be worshipped by something that freely chose to worship Him.

But if the angels didn't already have free will, how could Satan have rebelled against God?

And if they had "free will", then God was already being worshipped by beings who have "free will".

So why give us "free will"?

I've been told in a previous question that God deliberately designed us to have the freedom to sin, because he wants us to have free will.

But how do we demonstrate we have free will unless we choose something God would not want us to do?

So God gave us free will so we would choose to sin.

Then, once we've become addicted to sin (such that no human can ever stop), we're supposed to feel very very guilty about it and promise God we will do our best to stop sinning.

Then, maybe, God will let us into heaven.

So God wants us to sin till we're addicted and can never stop, and then he wants us to feel guilty about it and make futile promises to stop sinning.

This is the God your free will chooses to believe is the true God and Creator of the Universe?

This is a serious question about Christian ethics. If we accept that the Bible is the word of God and the basis for our understanding of morality, how do we deal with the bits that are inconsistent with our current moral consensus e.g. should women be allowed to speak in church? Is it really OK if I sell my daughter into slavery to pay off my debts? Should I really be stoned to death if I work on the sabbath?

Some sins are worse than others...Doesn't this mean some sins are more agreable with Allah? Can Allah be perfect and righteous and in agreement with sin? The God that was before Muhamamd believe all had sinned and fallen short of God's glory and all sin equaled death. It is the reason man needs a righteous God and his atonement.

He deliberately gave us the freedom to kill one another, to commit rape and torture and mayhem upon one another, to commit genocide?

A loving God did this?

If you could design your children, or the children of your neighbours, would -you- design them with the freedom to do these things?

Especially if you knew that by not designing them to avoid these things, they would, in fact, rape and murder?

Isn't a loving God supposed to do all he can to ensure bad things don't happen to His creations?

Isn't a loving parent supposed to all he/she can to make sure bad things don't happen to the children?

Please explain why a loving God did not design us to avoid doing bad things to each other?

Wouldn't a loving parent step in if his/her children were literally trying to kill each other?

Or is it the duty of a loving parent to let them do whatever they want and say it's the children's "free will" that causes the problems?

I single out these 2 groups as they fued the most on YA.

Why do atheists try to make Christians believe there is no God? Religion, even if u believe it's false serves a greater purpose. It gives ppl hope, morals (in most cases), and provides them w/ a standard of living to be the best person they can be (I know this isn't true for everyone, but in general). So even if U believe it's false, what is wrong with letting them be blind if it serves a higher purpose?

Why do Christians try to convert Atheists? God is powerful enough to reach his mighty hand down and convert them himself if he wishes.

I think that God only wishes you to believe in God...not religion. Christianity (aka the Roman Catholic Church), wants you to "convert" as many ppl as you can by witnessing & that is to their benefit.
