I had been watching a house on the local real estate website for several months. I finally decided that I really wanted to persue it and I was going to try to convince my husband that we should buy it, but it was a little expensive for us at the time. I looked at it one last time and prayed before I went to bed by asking God to make it easy for us if it was something good for us and to keep it away from us if it was something bad. The next day I opened up the computer to show my husband, and I couldn't believe my eyes, for the price had been lowered overnight by $10,000! We bought it several weeks later. I swear this is completely true. So for those of you who don't believe in prayers being answered, how do you explain that one?

Catholics pray to her and seek guidance and intercession from her to God. This is a form of worship.'Venerate' or whatever word you want to use doesn't change the fact that Catholics ask Mary to intercede with God for them. This is a form of worship. Mary is dead, she has no power, never did. She can not hear you and can not intercede for you. Believing as though she can is worship.

Any answers please?

It fills vessels, both within and without, more so than water.

If an atheist were presented with the opportunity to perform a random act of kindness that no one would ever know about, and might inconvenience him even the slightest bit, why would he ever even consider doing the act, even if it had a very good chance of saving a life, or even just saving someone a lot or a little bit of money?

QUESTION: How do you prove Creationism? (Not, "why do you think it's true' but how do you PROVE it?)

Someone on a list I'm on said "i don't believe that science does back up evolution. i think there are many factors that play into that allegedly being proven."

Now I have a few sub-questions.

Sub-Question 1: How do you think science has NOT proved evolution?

Sub-Question 2: What are these "factors?"

Sub-Question 3: How do you "debunk" things like carbon dating or fossil evidence?

This is just one of those things where whenever I ask someone who doesn't believe in evolution I get a response like "It just doesn't prove it!" or "That's just how it is!" or "because the bible says so!" Those are not "real" answers.

Instead of writing God, some people write G-d. What does that mean? How is it different from writing God (if you were the one writing it)? I dont have an opinion on whether its good or bad because it would depend on the motive, i think. I'd like honest input from everyone!

Remember: I'll respect you; please do the same for me!

Hey, aren't they a form of christians. Why are they regarded as the weird ones and other forms of christianity are not.

What are the difference in their beliefs, and why do they come to your door.

I found something on the net, a story from a guy who had them knocking at his oo:
"Got a good story...My Brother and his family lived in Raleigh, NC and 3 days in a row he had the Jehovah's witness knocking on his door...quite annoying but he was nice and said no I am happy with my religion.....He got tired of it after the third day and then next week I was over visiting when he saw them coming AGAIN, I told him to just not answer it he said No then they will keep coming so he said I am gonna put a stop to this...He strips down to his underwear(whitie tighties) and answers the door and was inviting them in, they looked mortified...He said come on in and lets talk religion...This could be fun...after picking there jaws up off the ground they said no sir but thank you? .

It is stupid to believe an ignorant athiest from the 1800's but it is really stupid to believe that ghost can be justified through humanistic beliefs. I only need answers from anyone who can explain how atheism and the belief in spiritual beings can coexist.

to decide between the older 2 siblings (both married) to be your best man & maid of honor?

One is a Christian and one is not.

The Christian was involved in helping through the tough years and there for advice when I was growing up.
The other is oldest of us. A bit irresponsible but fun.

i am not talking about promiscuity over here. i am talking about being sexually open to different experiences in a mature responsible way...
i know some of u will give me verses that talk about "purity", but i am wondering if that's a concept that has been mistakenly tied to sex rather than other areas of being!
