QUESTION: How do you prove Creationism? (Not, "why do you think it's true' but how do you PROVE it?)
Someone on a list I'm on said "i don't believe that science does back up evolution. i think there are many factors that play into that allegedly being proven."
Now I have a few sub-questions.
Sub-Question 1: How do you think science has NOT proved evolution?
Sub-Question 2: What are these "factors?"
Sub-Question 3: How do you "debunk" things like carbon dating or fossil evidence?
This is just one of those things where whenever I ask someone who doesn't believe in evolution I get a response like "It just doesn't prove it!" or "That's just how it is!" or "because the bible says so!" Those are not "real" answers.

To the person who told me to "WAKE UP!"
Please DON'T assume you know my views on ANYTHING. I specifically worded this question so that my opinion would NOT be clear to foster respectful answers rather than antagonism. Apparently you missed that part.

ONE MORE EDIT:
Okay okay, that's enough from the "creationism is retarded" crowd. I'm not saying I disagree with y'all, but that's not really the point of the question(s).
I would REALLY REALLY like to hear from folks who actually believe in Creationism!

Creationism is the easy answer. It is a mis-application of Occam's razor, the theory that states "the simplest solution is true." We see the multitude of species, and wonder how they got there. One person thinks, "Someone must have created all this. There is a God." The second person thinks, "They probably evolved incredibly slowly over millions of years by passing on favorable genetic material to the next generation." Right now, the first idea looks correct.
But when we investigate, we see it is otherwise. Darwin observed the similarities and differences between the finches in the Galapagos, and guessed that they had a common ancestor. Scientists examine the fossil record and see snapshots of creatures in another time, and realize that by putting them in chronological order (based on rock layers and radiocarbon dating techniques) they can see how organisms progressed. Modern geneticists discovered the inner working of DNA and chromosomes, and observe that when meiosis and fertilization occur, the genetic traits are carried on to the offspring.
So the creationist and evolutionist look at this bigger picture, and they come up with their own interpretation. The creationist thinks that it's a coincidence, or scientists are mis-ordering fossils for their own gain, or fossils are outright fakes. They think maybe God did it intentionally. They come up with elaborate theories involving Noah's flood, and pointedly deny radiocarbon dating's accuracy.
The evolutionist sees this, and thinks that the fittest individuals of each generation survive, so the ones that are the most adapted to their surroundings will have more offspring, and this will repeat for millions of years until the species is almost unrecognizable from its ancestors. They look at fossils, they look at genetics, they look in the environment in places like the Galapagos and other small islands, and the evidence supports it.
Let's try an analogy. In late medieval times, people believed the earth was fixed in space. Astronomers charted the paths of stars and planets, and came got strange results: celestial bodies traced sinusoid-shaped (squiggly) paths. When they changed their calculations to assume the Earth circled the sun, along with the other planets, they traced steadily curving lines. Clearly, the Earth moved, as proved by astronomers around the world and, later, the international space programs.
It took the less-educated people longer to accept that view. They couldn't feel the Earth moving. We cannot see evolution progressing, but if one looks at the world in detail, the evidence is overwhelming.

If any of these things could be proved,What would be left for speculation, and discussion?Religion is the spirit we have,in us.It seems to me that a book was written by some wise people for their time. They had the vision to see how nasty the human species was,and if they did not fear, they could not be controlled. That worked well until science punched a hole in the sky,and behold where was heaven, for that matter where was the giant in Jack and the Bean Stalk.Look what lack of religious belief has taken us,the MTV GOD,has taken over, global communication has showed that we imitate art.If people could understand that the genius behind the make up of the Universe, the in line corrections that have been made through- out the millions of years, that no one species can over power any other (Dinosaurs, over powering, gone) species,or they will disappear.Who is doing all this? a super being, and should we worship them? We have worshiped others for much less. The Beatles,Elvis, and many others, they still have a strong presence in our life.We need to believe,be kind understanding, and flexible.Or we will follow the Dinosaur. As far as carbon dating, and science, until someone comes along and can prove otherwise, it sounds good.Science seems to have a way of putting their discoveries on a pedestal, strange rocks, animals,Weather,They sensationalize, because they live on Grants, where else would they get the money to continue disproving each other.

I don't believe it is possible to definitely prove creationism. Creationism is a matter of faith in whatever creation story your particular faith subscribes to.
To be fully fair, science cannot be said to have TRULY proved evolution either. We have results to tests, but those results are subject to interpretation, and interpretation could easily be misunderstood or mistaken.
It isn't debunking fossil record or carbon dating, but the results can be skewed by chemical factors in the soil, water, tar, or mud that the fossil is preserved in. Case in point, the frozen mammoth and Neanderthal. Neither one is carbon dated to the proper age because of the fact that they were frozen.
Some of the fossils found in the tar beds also don't carbon date properly.
I, personally, do not believe in only creationism, I do believe that evolution is the way things happened, but I also believe that it had help from at least a deity, if not more than one.
I do not believe in the bible as written being "truth", but that is my opinion. But since I cannot believe it to be a truth, I cannot believe in it's version of creationism.
But to each their own. I personally like the description of Creationist Evolution that Piers Anthony described in his Incarnations of Immortality; that since the bible does not define a "day" as the same thing we do (in fact, the sun wasn't even created until later), there should be no conflict. :P

Evolution is a concept that was created without much thought. You have this plastic model and you have about 30 pieces and glue and the instructions to put it together. So try and put it together without using yourbrain, which thinks. Your brain has been removed now put this thing together without thinking. Your eyeballs are open collecting light but no brain to make sense of what you are looking at. Your arms and legs are moving and have parts in hand but you do do not have a mind to coordinate your action or even comprehend what is going on. Without thinking you do not even know what the glue is for. Imagine a mother trying to feed her baby without a brain that thinks, what a disaster. If there is no thinking nothing can come into being. How can you build a boat, car, truck, airplane without a thought process, it is impossible.Try to do a math problem without thinking, it is impossible. Probably the only thing you can do without thinking is sleep and that might be impossible. Nothing gets done when you sleep. You cannot see a thought but you know when it has been applied. Creation has 3 parts, stuff, energy and a mind to coordinate the stuff and energy to put all the parts together, hope this helps out.

Neither creation nor evolution can be proven using scientific methods such as testing, re-testing, falsification or observation. You simply cannot recreate either event in a laboratory. No one was there at the beginning, so both are based on faith. The way to properly approach the subject is to address it like a legal case, that is, examine the evidence without prejudice and come to a conclusion. I am afraid using this method would prove evolution to be the fraud that it is. The main claim of the belief system is that one type of animal evolved into another type, such as, monkey to man, whale to cow, lizard to bird, etc.. Yet, there are no transitional fossils, none have ever been found. If this belief is true, the earth should be teaming with them, yet none have been found. And we have never observed this phenomena occurring. Another headache for evolutionists is DNA. DNA molecules are basically information systems, they carry information throughout our bodies. Information is not created by matter or energy, it can only come from a greater source of information, what would that source be? Those are just some of the problems evolutionists have.

God created everything in perfect manner. Do your brains say it would have been so much of perfection if they were evolved. Who put the qualities of love in the hearts. Who gave us the faculty to think while other species don't have. Why are somany apes left behind? where are the missing links. If evolution was true we could have found somany fossils of mediator species before fully evolving. Evolution was just a theory put forward by Darwins because God created a similarity between His creations. Think of a world if there were no similarity. Differeant objects speaking to us like in a Harry potter film. Can all scientists joined together with all the latest technologies creat a single cell?. If things were evolved out of nothing, why can't they do it now with everything?. Just at the complexion of a single cell evolution theory fails. We now know well, how complex a single cell is. If we are thinking in a stright way and not with arrogent manner, we will finally come to the conclusion of a All powerful Creator behing all these perfect creation. We also will know that He has also sent us guidance and truth how we can reach Him. We can experiance God in our life. We see Him not but He sees all.

How is evolution proven any more than creationism? You can only observe the outcome of both; never the process. Strike that. You can observe the process of creation.
Carbon dating will give you approximate time frames for something's existence. What does that prove?
Fossil evidence is evidence of what? Fossils. Species that seem to have developed minor changes through successive generations doesn't exactly prove evolution anymore than it proves creationism. I'm willing to bet that 99 to 100% of evolutionists believe in evolution based on what they read in a book (a.k.a. faith).
Proof of creationism:
What does anybody REALLY know?
1) I am here.
2) I can think.
Everything else could be illusory.
Can you remember how you got here? Based on what you REALLY know, did you evolve to get here, or did you just pop into this life? I mean, using just logic & facts -- no faith whatsoever.

It's impossible so don't waste time when you can do something more worth while in the present. none of us were there how ever million years ago you think it may or may have not begun. you can't debunk carbon dating evolution is accepted as a scientific theory as yet undisproved and based on fact in DNA analysis and accepted by churches as well. whether you were created or evolved from an eternal universe you can still live a morally good life .
Be kind , peaceout

I am an ardent supporter of evolution.
But my Mom does not support it and believes in Intelligent Design.
Her response was "To say I come from an ape is really depressing."
Her other response was was - science can prove evolution but it cannot disprove the existence of God or that God was in charge of creating evolution.

I saw a good video about Polonium being found in Micah and Granite. Quite common too. This Polonium isotope has a half life of only a few minutes. If the granites cooled slowly over millions of years there would be no trace of Polonium. If a "God" instantly created it, saying "Let there be Granite" , then all the elements with extremely short half lives would cook off and leave decay signatures in the rock. Google "Polonium Halos"
