My question was on for less than a minute when you replied with a screed which must have taken at least 15 minutes to write. It was obviously standard answer and you could not possibly have replied to my question in so short a time with such a long answer.
You have been deleted. `bad answer.`

Further to previous remarks: for me, what is very suspect are the claims that instances like the Great Flood, burning bushes, feeding 5,000 with three loaves and five fishes, tend to make the whole concept of a magical god totally untrue and unbelievable.
Regarding the flood, how could all the earth be covered by water when there is only enough to cover a third of it? And none of it flooded today, now and before the so-called flood? Where did the water come from? More to the point, where did it go?
It is not in the least logical, just make-believe and a staunch belief in something that has magical powers.
Absolute rubbish, and unintelligent people fall for it and kill others if they do not believe what they, themselves, believe.

I reckon that the person asking the question can ban stupid answers, of which yours was one, and, according to your wishes, you are deleted.
So be it...

No. Because I have reached the age where I can reason and fathom things out. I was not brainwashed. My father believed in letting us find out things and learn on our own. This included religion. So, I have reach that age and I have reached the conclusion that god does not exist.

Difficult to answer. I've reached a decision that that gods do not exist, but that's taken years of intellectual struggle. The problem is that we are all influenced to a greater or lesser extent by the culture in which we live and in the UK at any rate the culture has a christian base in the widest sense. That said I believe that a rational examination of the facts surrounding religious belief (and I mean all religions) should lead to a conclusion that there is no real proof or logical certainty that there is any god as I understand the the term 'god' to mean.
I think it was Voltaire who said that if god did not exist, man would have had to invent him. My contention is, after internal debate, that god in whatever guise is an invention of man to try to explain the inexplicable in times before scientific knowledge developed to its current level. What puzzles me is that these essentially primitive needs to find a meaning for life still prevail;however, I suppose that religion is so deeply ingrained in our collective psyche and cultures that it will take a long time before rationality finally becomes accepted. Religious beliefs and cultures have fallen before in the history of mankind and I see no reason why those currently in vogue should not go the same way in due course.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this question but I'm guessing that you feel that if it wasn't for the bible or people being brainwashed, we wouldn't believe in a God and that evolution would be the accepted truth of how we came to be. Is that what you mean? The only thing about that is that people only believe in evolution because of what they have read or been taught/brainwashed(?) at schools or universities right? Without any teaching or reading, i still would have believed in a God because as humans its natural for us to believe that we came from someone else(baby-mother). If you came upon a house in a desert that had running water, food, air conditioning etc etc would you believe that it had a builder or that it just formed itself over billions of years?
So there's my answer. I think that's what you were on about

I believe that God exists. I believe ppl walked on this earth at one time and were perceived to be Gods. Unfortunately this history has been destroyed, or altered & there is so much brainwashing that the truth is always in question.
I used to be brainswashed. One day someone started talking to me about history & religion (I grew up in a religious household, & I held on to that for all my life). At first I rejected what the person was saying, but then I started reading, digging, & researching and I can honestly say I now know where the saying "The truth will set you free" came from.
Be in Peace

I believe all concepts of God was created by man regardless of religion. The texts of all major religions are either written by men or orally transferred by men.
Your question is basically answered by the religions available today. Regardless of race, culture and geographical location it seems man was always questioning the creation/evolution/death etc etc. It seems they all found God...however different their gods were is irrelevant.
If there was no concept of God available today i.e no religion , we will still be challenged by the same questions and naturally will look for the answers. Even with a religion, Buddha questioned and came out with modified answers.
So, my answer to your question would be yes. If I am challenged to seek answers for the same questions those early seekers did then most likely I will logically deduce that God exist. Science has not revealed much even though it has searched for it. Actually science has made the existence of God more compelling to justify then the early days.
For instance, Theory of big bang for our solar system. What made the big bang happen ,science has no answer yet and are they closer , I would say further. Because after the big bang, we need to find the reasons of universe etc etc....
science has found laws like action creates equal and opposite reaction. however, why nature has to follow this laws is not answered. Why is the earth planet alone is giving way to life while others not. Of course, science keeps challenging them because science does not believe in something just because there is no other answer. So , until Science gets hold of GOD and tests his capacities there will be no conclusion in the scientific world on his existence.
So, we cannot rely on science at least until they succeed. I am sure there were scientist/atheist during the early days as well.
So, the question is still not answered about creation/evolution/death etc etc. So, if something happened our logical mind says there must be a cause. What is this cause becomes the question. The problem with What is that no matter who you are the what will never be answered conclusively....Because creation of life is history. Science is doing archeology in space to find the creation of life. If you look at all the creation theory by Scientist today, you will notice that they did contradict among themselves because science is giving better tool as technology gets better. However, they are no closer...
So, here I am with knowledge that science has not got me closer to why I am born , why am I growing and why should I die and so is the rest of the things that grew up with me.
If there is no what (cause) then ...you look at your parents as your creator for in essence they are your creators. Every living thing that you come across was created by another (parents). So logical analysis tells you that creation did happen at some point of time. The intelligence in this creation process is enormous (ensuring evolution, growth , new genetic, new species as time goes) etc etc. So, the creation is caused by something which has huge intelligence and power. For the same goes for creation of the planets and the stars etc etc.
The name I give for this creator is GOD. After that is justification of way of life and death. Depending on my nature and my environment, these are challenging questions on it's own. But I believe after having GOD as creator the rest will be a matter of principle to justify.

You only have to look around you even today - threre is some order of arrange arrangements. 4 season coming on timely etc who arranged it. Only a madman will say it just happened. Even today you go to traffic lights and see all cars etc following direction you know there is some order and that order is coming from somewhere. Planets moving but no clashes etc gives you plenty to think about.
So who guides? Who gives intelligence?
Now, I suggest a very good book a small excerpt is below. This is called Science of Self -Realization. Hope this meets you well - best wishes.
SSR 8 Attaining Perfection
When I left India alone in 1965, I feared that I would have a great deal of trouble. The Indian government would not allow me to take any money out of the country, so I came with only a few books and forty rupees. I arrived in New York City in such a condition, but it was all by the grace of Guru Maharaja and Krsna. Everything happens by the combined mercy of Krsna and the spiritual master. In the Caitanya-caritamrta it is stated that the mercy of Krsna and guru are combined. This is the secret of the success of this Krsna consciousness movement. Krsna is always within us, and consequently He knows everything about our purposes, and He gives us the opportunity to work as we decide. If we decide to enjoy this material world, Krsna gives us the intelligence to become a very shrewd businessman or a popular politician or a cunning man so that we can earn money and enjoy ourselves. According to the standards of material life, many people are becoming great. They begin as very poor men and soon, by good fortune, become millionaires. We Should not think, however, that they are attaining such success by their own puny endeavors. Without intelligence, no one can improve, and that intelligence is given by Krsna. In the Bhagavad-gita Krsna states that He is seated in everyone's heart as the Supersoul and that by His will a man can remember, and by His will a man can forget. Krsna supplies forgetfulness and remembrance according to the living entity's desire. If we want to forget Krsna and enjoy the material world, He will give us the necessary intelligence so that we can forget Him for good.

Well, it very much depends on lots of things. Firstly, you type the word ‘god’ without the capital letter G, and secondly you added a s at the end making it gods. This is very interesting. It could mean that you define god in the old way. I mean before god was one. I’m surely hope since you posted the question you would have read a bit about the history of human’s religion and that before there was a belief of one god, there were many gods as in Egyptian, Greek, and Hindu gods.
So by the above brief paragraph, I’ve established that the concept of god(s) is not new. There was god(s) in many forms before the Old Testament, with which god has been defined as one, hence ‘God’ and once ask an ambiguous answer was given that: “I am who I am”.
Setting asides the traditional gods as different creature in the Myths of Greek and Hinduism, the more modern Hindu defined gods in a more philosophical and in my opinion a more convincing way. I.e. Shiva (god of life) is married to Kali (goddess of time). Shiva is himself the wind of life, breathing in any object and thereon it becomes a living. Kali is herself time, is black, is naked because she is so vast no clothing can cover her, she doesn’t have the beginning nor an end, as she herself is time. The marriage of life and time form us all; hence they are the creators.
Can you buy those concepts? If you can, then you may very well off subscribe to Science as the similar explanations are given to the Genesis of life and time. The only difference is that science offer testing, experiment, and more or less proves of their epistemology: the foundation of their knowledge.
Now majority of the religions in the world believe in some kind of god; except only one religion that I know of, and the branches that stemmed from it: that is Buddhism, in which course of philosophy I’ve followed. It is obvious to answer then that: I have never seen nor experienced God, gods, god, of any form, or kind, hence I cannot possible bring myself to believe in what I cannot see, hear, touch, feel or have any sort of records of any form being ever existed.

It depends. The need to believe in God is an output of the need to understand our world and why we are here. As human beings, we are naturally questing, we are seekers. We want answers. To believe in a higher power having created our world seems like a logical answer, since clearly humanity did not create itself.
Even if I do believe in God, I would still reject the holiness of God. He may be powerful but he is an absentee God who lets the world go to hell around him without bothering to intervene. So if God does exist, his role is more in the vein of creating the world and then forgetting about it- letting it take care of itself.

I tend not to answer questions which have additions...dictating what I am or am not allowed to write or quote. I also tend to give well thought out answers to the majority of questions but for some reason don't feel disposed to answering yours in the manner you expect.
NOTE:- Bible quotes prove a lot of things but you are too ignorant to realise this....delete this if you want or leave it for everyone to see...your choice!
May God grant you the wisdom to learn from your own mistakes and seek His face rather than your own notoriety.
Best wishes, Mike.
