its now a joke in comedy clubs about catholic priests ,seems obvious to me that repression of a natural base instinct leads to perversion of the sexuality ,,could we learn anything from why such a big percent of priests become pedophiles? shouldnt there be civilised discussion not ignorance .

Sins like murder, killing ,raping ,child abuse and sins like that?I know most Christians will say that a true Christian doesnot commit such acts of sin and i do agree. But my question is that those Christians who commit such acts irrespective in their ignorence will they will enter heaven?Even if they ask for forgivness would they be forgiven(these sins were never commited to Jesus but to people and i dont think Jesus has right to take those sins that are not even related to him). Please answer in context of Bible.

Who'd like what topic?

I came across this, any thoughts?

"I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently assumed that it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption ... For myself, as no doubt, for most of my contemporaries, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation. The liberation we desired was simultaneous liberation from a certain political and economic system, and liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom."

Religious belief (or lack thereof) is not the only thing that defines a person. We have more in common than we think. How can people of different beliefs (or lack thereof) come together and make this a better world?

From this quote, what do you think?

"Dear husbands, your wife is your partner, your other half and your life mate. She can be your hassanah in this world and "the blessing of your life," but only if you give her the chance to be. She is the one who can bring a smile to your face and dry the tears of pain from your eyes. She has the potential to provide your family with iman, happiness, encouragement, and patience in the face of challenges you may face. Your wife is always ready to sacrifice everything in order to bring happiness and success to the family."

A recent Harvard medical research project has reported that it's findings on the effectivness of prayer for recovering post surgical patients contributed negatively to the patients ability to show improvement, i.e., that prayer not only failed to help patients improve but that it may have contributed to an increase in post-op complications - patients who were prayed for did worse than those who were not prayed for.

The report of the study can be found here:

From the quote, what do you think?

"Asserting Women's Rights
Ibn Al-Jauzi narrated the virtues and merits of Umar bin Al-Khattab (Allah bless him) in the following words: Umar forbade the people from paying excessive dowries and addressed them saying: "Don't fix the dowries for women over forty ounces. If ever that is exceeded I shall deposit the excess amount in the public treasury". As he descended from the pulpit, a flat-nosed lady stood up from among the women audience, and said: "It is not within your right". Umar asked: "Why should this not be of my right?" she replied: "Because Allah has proclaimed: 'even if you had given one of them (wives) a whole treasure for dowry take not the least bit back. Would you take it by false claim and a manifest sin'". (Al Nisa, 20). When he heard this, Umar said: "The woman is right and the man (Umar) is wrong. It seems that all people have deeper insight and wisdom than Umar".
