Wouldn't that also mean that, in some way, everything is perfect as it is?

Perfection and imperfection are humans concepts to describe the nature. In Architecture for example a perfect facade is probably the one with symmetry. Is the symmetry perfect? I don't think so. Modern Architecture rethink the concept of symmetry with asymmetry, in some way like our face or body. Imagine that your body was symmetrical, do you think it will be more perfect? No. The interesting things about a building, a sculpture, a tree, a mountain or an animal are the differences , the asymmetries and the "errors" that make so enjoyable the life. Some people believe that God is perfect but in some way the imperfections of God, as shown on this planet, are the ones that make the concept of God perfect.

Human level of viewing perfection is itself through a limited perception.... hence the confusion...
Now, nature has a way of balancing things. We have to appreciate the 'accuracy' or perfection, in the way the milky way, the galaxy, the solar system etc has been flawlessly functioning since many light years ! Like wise, even on our planet, there is a subtle law operating, in a sense of perfection, the cause & effect phenomenon... the ultimate of its perfection is in the choice afforded to humans(choice only to the ones who 'reach' [....that...] level), to be a witness or an intensely involved participant/player in this 'game' !

Yes it is, but the play on words tends to throw people off. I'll try to explain.

We are born complete, but unfinished.
We are perfect by virtue of our uniqueness
and integrity. (We are perfectly ourselves.) By integrity I mean the quality of being an integrated whole, fully-equipped, born having everything we need to create a sane, healthy life. Take away any important part of our wholeness and you compromise our integrity.
We are complete, but not finished.
We will always be in the process of perfecting ourselves...a work in progress. In that sense we are imperfect.

So the answer to your questions is yes and yes.

Without imperfection, how could we "judge" or know perfection?

I still am not sure that true perfection exists. Once something is "touched"by human hands, it becomes imperfect. None of us humans are perfect.

Perfection is only attainable by God.

Yes! The only imperfection is our conception of reality, perfection. Life is the process of removing the veils preventing us from realizing it.

If you mean the horrific things humans can do without guilt is perfection, or the stupid people who force others to dumb down their thoughts in order to not be offended is perfection, then ya, were all freaking perfect.

It depends.
If you think it is but may have not been then possibly it could be when it really is not.

Simple.
