The whole pope thing is a basis for secret, why do they hold mass in latin? So the masses will hear and understand? or to be good little worshippers and do as they wish, without asking questions about what they won't tell?

The Catholic Church is not a secret society.
Here are a few good Catholic websites with public documents going back almost 2,000 years:
Official Sites:
+ The Vatican: http://www.vatican.va/phome_en.htm
+ The US Conference of Catholic Bishops: http://www.usccb.org/index.shtml
+ Catholic Bible: http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/
+ Catechism of the Catholic Church: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/index.htm
+ Code of Canon Law: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/_INDEX.HTM
+ Documents of Vatican II: http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vatican_council/index.htm
With love in Christ.
