Romans 8:37 "Nay in all these things we are more than conquerers, though him that loved us."
The word conquer in Greek means --VICTORY, to vanish on.
According to Romans, we are to walk in VICTORY!!
To be Conquers, we have to conquer, just like any war, to get the victory, they had to fight the battle to conquer and to over come!!!!
We are in a spiritual battle ever day of our lives. Ephesians 6:12 " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalitites, against powers, against the rules of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in High Places."
God showes us in His word that we war not against the flesh but power and principalities.---- but through all that satan throughs at us, whether it be depression, financial trouble, sickness, any distraction, WE CAN BE OVERCOMERS THROUGH HIM!!!
I went through the same financial battle for 4 years. It was the same battle over and over and over ever year. The Lord showed a friend of mine and I how to pray, that it was time to be destroyed!!!!! It was not Gods will for me to suffer like I was, - It is Gods will for us to walk victorious, WE ARE CONQUERS!!
We are only made conquers when we realize how to overcome the circumstances in our lives!! The God we serve can and will make a way for us. We are to go to the Lord in prayer!!! We are to seek God---

What your pastor was referring to was a passage of scripture found in Romans Ch. 8:37. It says, "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. The entire chapter speaks volumes of our power and authority through the Spirit and love of Christ.
