I know it's a sin to kill a person. Is it a sin to kill insects like annoying cockroaches, flies, bees, wasps, other insects like these. Where in the Bible did you find this information?

I dont mean to come off as rude, but I am interested.

Most religions have a deity(s) and I think most can agree that atleast 8 of the ten commandments are common good. I dont mean to start the drinking game, but I truely do not understand whats wrong with the ten commandments being in public view.

I dont eat meat, but I dont think its wrong that you see it all over the place. I'll even cook it for you, I just dont eat it. If someone could explain this without being rude you'll get ten points :-p

I try to see all sides of any matter and Im having trouble here

I was raised Catholic but I never really bought into the Jesus idea. How do I go about "finding" Jesus realistically. I really want to try.

If these words and titles are used in the Bible, then shouldn't all churches have Bishops, Priests, and Deacons?

Durring today's cookout a song came on called 'Someone bless America' - it was identical to God bless America only without any religion in it at all.

I think its fine to not believe in a god, its your life and your choice, but to take a song like that and change it I think is a bit rude. What do you think about it?

Jump right in!

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above;

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America,
My home, sweet home.

does it seem to you that the more we remove God from our everyday lives and the more the people strive to remove anything about God from our government that we are surely falling out of Gods graces and have developed way to many social problems because of this...

Not so much dropping personal beliefs just not talking about them.

If everyone kept their religion quietly to themselves then we wouldn’t have terrorist or religious war or those darn Ministers that like to run for president ever couple of decades.

I’d like every God fearing person, regardless of religion to consider what they would do if God told you personally too concentrate on applying your religious convictions to yourself and say nothing to anyone else.

Would your religion be as sweet to you as the drama filled hypocrisy you currently practice?

I saw someone post this seriously elsewhere, and now I'm wondering how many people believe it:

"This country was founded in the name of Religous Freedom - To worship God freely!

Not to have the absence thereof!

The founding fathers had a very strong bond with Christianity, which is why God Almighty gave them such success."

If you only agree with parts of it, state which parts.

I heard from one of my friends that if you believe in all three you automatically go to heaven..is this true?
So does that mean Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer automatically go to heaven?

I don't tell me there is no such thing as religion because that isn't the question im asking..

... then are you not an athiest in respect to all the other gods that have been claimed by man? Wouldn't you be merely 1/___ (somebody smarter than me please fill in the blank,) part god-believer and the rest athiest just like me?

(There, do you see now how tiny the difference between us really is and how small a step it is to understanding your world without the help of fantasy gods?)

And to make this a religious question: Do you think God will smite the people who are using fireworks and scaring all the poor little kitties and puppies?

the Lord tell us, not to desire the things of this world. To put your eyes on spiritual things..........

why do you all have wifes or husbands? For you all know that it is a fleshly desire, and it is not spiritual and not in heaven.
I mean you do not even care about him or her when you get to heaven....you just want to get to heaven......not even thinking about tresures.
