Not so much dropping personal beliefs just not talking about them.

If everyone kept their religion quietly to themselves then we wouldn’t have terrorist or religious war or those darn Ministers that like to run for president ever couple of decades.

I’d like every God fearing person, regardless of religion to consider what they would do if God told you personally too concentrate on applying your religious convictions to yourself and say nothing to anyone else.

Would your religion be as sweet to you as the drama filled hypocrisy you currently practice?

Yes indeed.

You can have beliefs that are important to you alone, and once religion becomes organized and money becomes involved, it loses all spirituality.

People love to let everyone know how they feel, to show what's in them, kinda like American Idol of the soul. They think folks want to hear it.

You just need to find a place where people don't talk about that crap, where they respect other people's beliefs without saying anything bad, or saying anything either way.

That place does exist, but Jerry Fallwell said that it deserved to be attacked on 9/11. It's called New York City.

Probably and metropolitan area in the USA will suit you better.

Sounds like you're onto something.

Peace out.

Would your religion be as sweet to you as the drama filled hypocrisy you currently practice?

What do you mean by the above statement? Who is a hypocrite? I was beginning to think you had an honest desire to understand. Instead you prove that your true desire is to hate.

Do you know that the Supreme Court declared atheism a religion? This doesn't make it so. But, religion is defined as a set of beliefs about what constitutes reality and how those beliefs govern your life.

What's your religion? Does being religious automatically make one a hypocrite? Why? You make this very judgement. Therefore, you, too, are a hypocrite, by your own estimation.

I am a Christian. If I follow what Jesus commanded, what makes me a hypocrite? If I don't do what he said and say I do, yes, I am a hypocrite.

Is it possible that there is ONE human being on this entire planet that DOES follow Jesus's commands?

Please take at look at yourself and evaluate your logic and reasoning and determine why you've made such harsh judgements.

i agree with you.... religion shouldn't affect the world, though sadly it does.. you're right, everyone SHOULD keep personal beliefs to self, especially if they dont promote something positive or help another person. I think religion should be part of life but shouldn't control all aspects of life. It's something unique some people believe in and that's fine. But not more than that.

>>>If everyone kept their religion quietly to themselves then we wouldn’t have terrorist or religious war >>>

No offense, but oh please. Please stop pushing this myth that religion causes terrorism and war. It's a tired old myth pushed by people who have a vested interest in discrediting religion -- namely to feel better about their less-than-devout lifestyles.

The overwhelming vast majority of war and violence in this world has been committed by, or in the name of, The State.

But I don't see you coming on here calling for The State to be banned, or for people to keep their national allegiances to themselves.

To some people, such as yourself, religion is always a convenient scapegoat.

i think its okay to talk about our relgions. religion, when at its best, can run through someone and give them great excitement and i think its okay to share that.

i think we just need to be humle in our stance and less concerned with how much we are right or wrong.

but its a great idea. And a much more peaceful approach than the one we have.

Better than that I think humanity should respect and accept everyones idea of "GOD". If that is respected and accepted then there will be no fights or deaths over religion and everyone will be happy. =)

Yes humanity would be a lot better off without religion.

It would be nice, and a step closer to our maturity as a species.
However, the men who need to be able to control other men would have to come up with something else to hold over the heads of the masses and create fear. I am a little worried about what they would come up with.

Yet, you seem to believe you should be able to continue the beliefs of your own personal religion of criticizing the beliefs of other people

Good idea. Whenever I try it, people keep asking me why I'm so happy, or glowing, or kind, or what exactly it is that's so unusual to them. Maybe that is the best way. Just let them ask.
