Krishna is the manifestation of the spiritual divine,in a form that easier for us normal grihasta human beings to relate to,while Shiva is the manifestation of the bairagi rupa spiritual divine.Krishna's life and philosophy are often misunderstood and thought to be having war ending results of the Mahabharata, but that is just a misconception of the imature human mind.Infact Krishna's philosophy is tougher and wittier than us normal human being's mentality.Krishna's love and philosophy helps us to live in the normal grihasta lifes, and it shows us a way until we reach or rather leave our earthy bindings.Shiva is worshipped as a bairagya, who has no earthy materialistic chains, his love shows the face of eternal meditative peace and love, and the half of human being which is untouched by the earth.
But on the other side, both Krishna as well as Shiva are manifestation of the one and only Lord and God.It just depends on the devotees outlook.Whatever I wrote above is just what I feel,it may vary from person to person. When I cut my middle finger from my palm the pain I will feel will be equal to the pain I will feel if my little finger is cut from the same palm, the only difference will be of the final picture that my eye see of the palm.

Krishna and Shiva are two Personalities of the same Godhead and not opposed realities.
However, the taste of the relationship is different: Krishna is more demanding, while Shiva is more compassionate.
At a superficial level it may seem that Krishna bhakti is simpler and Shiva is more intimidating, but if you go deeper you will find out that it is actually the contrary.
The good news is that we can get the blessings of Shiva to access Krishna, too, so we don’t need to be “cut off” from any love :-).

Shiva is the omnipotent. Krishna is an avatar of Vishnu.
Loving Krishna gives you potential to tap the love for you and love for one another(and love towards God).
Loving Shiva gives you potential to connect back with the Shivam(Omni potent, Divine, Origin). Depending on the individuals(non-judgemental) efforts you will realize the truth of the universe with Shiva's Love and Blessings.
Hope this helps. Be Blessed by the Divine.

There is absolutely no difference in the Love which one receives from Sri Krishna or Shiva.
First of all Love being a constant factor is the same, even if received from apparently different sources.
If there is in reality some difference, then it is not Love at all, but blemished with other things.
Secondly when one goes deeper and examines the whole subject, there is no difference between Sri Krishna and Shiva at all.
Satchidananda Parabrahma is the same, even if it takes different forms.
In my view it is all ignorance to consider that one form of Brahman is inferior or superior to another one.
For instance in the incarnation of Sri Rama there was less display of super natural powers, as against the one in Sri Krishna.
But these are subtle matters which none except Mahans ( realised souls) only understand well.
To be true both were Poornavatars, but there were divine purposes in displaying in one and not displaying in another one.
The Ananda which one gets when he receives Love from Sri Krishna is the same as the one he gets from Shiva.
It is Maya coupled with Agyana which shows differences in the quality or quantum of the Love from different divine sources.
There were 64 Nayanmars who worshipped Shiva and attained realisation, have spoken of the extraordinary Love to which they were recipients.
It is they who said that the meaning of SHIVA is LOVE.
Similarly Chaithanya Maha Prabhu and Bhakta Meera were thoroughly convinced that Sri Krishna was indeed LOVE personified.
The one prime requirement for experiencing such high levels of PURE LOVE from any divine source is Surrender.
Only if the Ego in us is completely erased this is possible.
Till then there will be struggle and dissatisfaction in experiencing pure love.

No difference. Shiva is pure consciousness, and therefore highly auspicious, called Shanakara. Krishna mean one who attracts everyone else. The love of them to the human beings is one and the same. In traditional homes, the last verse would be Shivaya Vishnu Rupaya, Shiva Rupaya Vishnuve....... There is no difference. We are all the mini projections of both of them and any of them.

Since God is one, there is no difference between the love of Krishna and Shiva. It is only an 'Agnani's' preseption that there is difference between the love of Krishna's love and shiva's love. Only mortals may have difference in their love, like father's love and mother's love.or a lovers love.

I heard from my father about God Krishna and God Shiva ways . This was long years ago. Today I just recalled after reading your this question Aum .
There is a saying that when one goes after something it avoids you. Once we stop it then it starts following you.
When one is after God Krishna then it is said that Shree Krishna is the one who selects the person to be nearer to him. He makes that person to be first neglected by his family persons , let all leave him slowly one by one - friends, family and then he/she comes in his surrunder to him. Shree Krishna wants only true devotees to leave everything and come to him.
For humans this will be tough but Gods/esses has their own ways which sometimes we cannot explain or think of .
God Shiva grants boon to his devootees. He does not take away devotees wealth etc. He gives and this is why many and in the past Rakshahas worshipped God Shiva.

So far as my knowledge goes i do not think there is any difference in the love of Shiva and Krishna. Actually i do not get into such things. I see God as one whatever the form may be -- satyam shivam and sundaram, sat chit ananda swarup. That saves me from lot of questions and confusion.
