Imperfections makes a person perfect. so there is nothing to be ashamed.
Edited: I am not ashamed, if i did something wrong. I learn from it. I feel by this way god is making me to know the perfect, the truth.

Imperfections and limitations are a characteristic of the temporary body and mind, but we as the atman (the real self, the soul) are eternal and knowledgeable/conscious and happy by nature.
Shame is a negative feeling that often prevents people from overcoming the very imperfections they are ashamed of.
So the best course of action is to see every difficulty as a challenge, an opportunity to direct our energy into a positive direction and always improve our actions and mentality in a sincere and selfless spirit. And this is already perfection in itself.

When what is perfection is not understood or realised, rest of things are always imperfect. Why one should be ashamed of it. The goal is not perfection but dissoution of imperfections by deep observation and by not repeating it.

No, why should i be ashamed of something for which i'm not responsible, i guess everyone shud have some imperfection or the other or else a "perfect" life can be boring! I love to improve myself!

My dear Aum
I used to be a perfectionist, but not any more. I have learnt to love myself with all my imperfections. They make me who I am & I wouldn't want to be any other way right now.
When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to tell me that God gave beauty spots only to people he loved. I had many & felt blessed when I looked at them. Years later I had a nasty scar on my left knee, very deep & about 5 inches long. As soon as it healed, a beauty spot appeared right on top of the scar. It was almost like a kiss from God to make it better.
Blessings & love as always.

Nobody and nothing is 100% perfect. So I only try to correct my imperfections and am not ashamed.

No. Not ashamed exactly. But saddened ofcourse. I would love to be improving and moving towards perfection each day of my life. It is people like you who help others achieve that goal by kindling the fire of desire to achieve that noble goal of perfection. How far I succeed i dont know. But i will continue in my next birth and so on and so forth.

You've got a choice. Either everything is perfect - or nothing is!
That should take the sting out of it - one way or another
To be ashamed is to be attached.
To acknowledge my 'imperfection' without judgement and then to move on - that is way of the Buddhas - I think.
(Oohh, I am so attached to my attachments - but only sometimes!)

Yep. I focus on them more than I should. It can be a little debilitating at times.
I had an operation under my jaw in the 90's. Though it left a very small scar, it partially paralized my tongue. Most of the time, I don't have speech problems, but sometimes I do. And when I do, I become a little too aware of it.
