we all force things down peoples throats instead of just letting them know what the Bible says. I think we do it a lot I know I have but I understand that Christians are just so excited about God they end up hurting others with their words. But also I think many nonchristians overreact and take it in as something bad. so can everybody not get so angry anymore listen to people and answer kindly and respectfully if you're a christian you're suppose to love your enemy not accept their ways!

In an upcoming article in Nature Physics, scientists from Penn State have discovered that our universe was created when the previous one collasped. This new theory can see what some of the previous universe was like. And instead of the "big bang" starting everything, it could be called a "big bounce". In other words we could live in an infinite universe that contracts and expands and contracts in a cycle that lasts forever. So if the universe has always been doing this, where does god fit in? A creator is not needed if the universe has always been around.

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
That seems simple enough. And wouldn't you expect Jesus to love his enemies?
Yes...?
What we find in Mark 16:15-16 is surprising. It shows us how Jesus treats his enemies:
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned [to hell].
This is "good" news? Jesus doesn't love his enemies at all. In fact, you don't even need to be an enemy -- even those who would rather not "believe in" Jesus are condemned to eternal torture in a lake of fire????

If NO: Why did these things exist at all?

IF your answer is "Free Will", why was "Free Will" designed so that it would destroy other people AGAINST their free will?

If YES; then he obviously is not a loving god.

Thanks in advance for answers.

I truly WANT to believe in the goodness of the people in our world, but when this is what your book teaches, how can we not be afraid of you?

Qur'an:9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

Qur'an:8:59 "The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may TERRORIZE them. They are your enemy and Allah's enemy."

Qur'an 47:33 "Believers, obey Allah, and obey the Messenger. Do not falter; become faint-hearted, or weak-kneed, crying for peace."

Qur'an:2:193 "Fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief) and religion is only for Allah. But if they cease/desist, let there be no hostility except against infidel disbelievers."

I am not religious at all, but I cannot see how ANYONE could believe in a book that teaches them to hate...

Help me understand why.......

If I believe in Allah but do not believe that Muhammad is his prophet, ie I think Muhammad is a charlatan and therefore we do not need to blindly follow what Muhammad said. Am I still considered a muslim?

What about people living before Muhammad's time. There wasn't a Muhammad yet, so were they muslims?

Well...im having a problem. Been depressed for awhile over it.
I am a christian man in a relationship with the most beautiful,
smart and funny woman ever of 4 years. I really want to marry her
soon, but were having problems. She's had trouble with men before.
Cheating, lying and so on. So now her opinion is very bad about men.
She believes every guy is a lustful guy, wanting sex, cheating,
porn. But i tell her not every guy. I don't do that stuff, and
i honest tell her that. Its hard. I dont like being accused
of things i dont or will never do. I really love her so much
and i hate her upset, as a christian...how do i tell her in
a good way that I aint like those guys?

Thanks

Do you believe the scientific or Biblical creation of the universe? I believe in the scientifical theory. I just feel as if Adam and Eve couldn't bring us where we are today with all the different people in the world, thus, god creating this world we live. I am not very religious. Religion confuses me, yet I pray to god.

You know what I mean? I spoken to a few of you guys and you all seem to have different ways of twisting around your knowledge of science so that it doesn’t upset the delicate balance going on in your knowledge/belief equilibriums. Well why don’t you get together and work out a list of standard laws that allows for the existence of evolution but also allows for Gods hand to be involved with it? Why don’t you book a conference centre!?!?! I can see the headlines now; “The 2008 Neo-Christian Conference.”

homosexuality is forbidden in all religions. if you believe in the bible, the holy Qura'an, the jews' holy book. u will know about Sodom & Gomorrah. these were 2 cities which were destroyed by god for what was happening in them. homosexuality and the like. god destroyed them and covered a sea over them (the dead sea) and that sea is so salty you cannot go down, you just float (aint that a coincidence). the book of genisis says this but yet christians allow gays to marry? excuse me but am i the only one finding something wrong here. religion is not like politics, its like if they refuse homosexuals theyll lose popularity. example,a priest is one that lives and breathes the bible, but yet he agrees to marry gays. i dont care if this is the 21century, religion dont change, what was written thousands of years ago doesnt just change because some people disagree with it. In islam you CANNOT be gay, simple. if you muslim and 'become' gay it means you are no longer a muslim.
