In ours, we ignore and ostracize the person until they have repented... you?

We Christians believe we are to spread the word and lead people to Christ. Pretend I have come to you and asked you how to be an atheist or more precisely what I should believe if I were an atheist.
Please be specific as possible about what to believe and why to believe it.
If we could keep this on the up and up that would be nice too.

Okay, so I was on Wikipedia and looked up my birthday, September 29th. Under births it said that Jesus was most likely born on that day. I took me a while to make the [dis]connection but I soon became aware of Christmas, which is not September 29th, but still manages to pertain itself as the day of the birth of Christ. So, which is right? I've checked both the Wiki on Jesus and on Christmas and their are no reports that even mention the month of September. So, I'm pretty confused. Any thoughts?

I was talking to a catholic and I asked him, " do you believe when you die you will go to heaven?" He replied, "yes" I said "why?" And he answered that He is a good person. So I told him that is not how you are saved. God said I am the way the truth and the life no man shall go to the Father except by me. Also, Eph: 2 8:9 then there's another quote about your works are like filthy rags can you guys give me Passages about how we are saved? And that we can't do it only Christ himself has that power to save us. Please! I can't remember all of them.

A couple days ago I asked a few questions. if you want to see them take a look at my profile. I asked if you believed in life in other planets.. most of you thought it was very likely. I asked if you believed these aliens visted us and helped ancient civilazations ie built the pyramids, higher mathmatics. Again most felt that this was likely ..not as likely as the first question i asked but still many believed in this. I then asked about the human brain, having higher powers ie Telekinesis. Many of you felt this was unlikely but were open to the idea of it being possible, and others outright believed it to be possible, My last question was about an afterlife..not heaven but some sort of existence after death. Again most answered it was unlikely or just not so. But a few answered that it was possible Talking about energy being released and existing in another form. All these are not proven, some things are outright fanciful. Yet you were open to the possibility..

So why not God?

Do give credit to man and Satan for all that is negative, bad or evil in this world is to sell your God short. To say that is to say that God didn't create the world knowing that this negativity would be produced. But since God is all knowing we can only come to the conclusion that God in fact did create this world, with all dieases, all the wars, all the greed, and jealousy, and hatred on purpose.

Either bad things happen because God designed it as so, God isn't all powerful, or God doesn't exist.

So as we clearly see the only way you can blame Satan for anything is if God isn't all powerful, and the only way you can blame man is if God doesn't exist. Otherwise anything that happens can only be part of God's plan, or God doesn't have 100% control.

So stop blaming man, or Satan if you believe in an omnipotent God.

For the misunderstanding of my last question? I wasn't trying to pass judgement on anybody at all but some of you took it that way. All I wanted was to gain insight into your thoughts but instead some of you chastised me. But I would like to apologize anyway and I hope all is well and good.

Man, I really love lobster.
Not so much into laying that way with another man.
Which abomination should I avoid?
Or, which part of the Old Testament am I willing to ignore?
I'm going with the lobster. Whose with me?

They were carried to their graves, not riding themselves, and were placed in them but not of their own accord. It seems as if they never lived in this world and as if the next world had always been their abode. They have made lonely the place where they were living, and are now living where they used to feel lonely. They remained busy about what they had to leave, and did not care for where they were to go. Now they cannot remove themselves from evil, nor add to their virtues They were attached to the world and it deceived them. They trusted it and it overturned them.

Isn't there enough light for one who wants to see ?

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Jesus did read the hearts of the Pharisees and tell all about them.
Rev.1:3;
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

By the time the world has the bible [ as the word of God or 2Tim.2:15; word of truth ], in circulation with all the translations the world needs, will it be the end time or the time [ to know it ], is at hand?
John 12:47,48; and Philip.2:5,9-12; Is it important to know the bible?

To clairify; in another question, I saw a lady mention that "demonic footholds" can be a DVD or cassette of a horror movie. I have also heard religious people in my family refer to certain TV programs as "evil" and as "inviting to evil spirits". May I ask how this exactly occurs?

I have seen a few unexplained things in my life, but never anything that scared me once I meditated on it some. Perhaps you can share your theories with me about these footholds and objects even, that supposedly attract evil? I understand, that even D&D and fantasy figurines do?

Do you not understand that by being so strong in your approach to bringing people to Christ that you are actually pushing them away from Christ? When you do things such as jam things like the threat of hell do you not realize that you push people away from Christ?

I really know very little about what this religion believes in.

I'm curious, does anyone know some of their basic beliefs?

What do they believe that is different from say Catholics?

(I also don't know the differences between Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Evangelicals', etc. Anyone with any info on that would be nice too.)

Here is a little extract...

Dawkins writes that The God Delusion contains four "consciousness-raising" messages:

Atheists can be happy, balanced, moral, and intellectually fulfilled.

Natural selection and similar scientific theories are superior to a "God hypothesis" — the illusion of intelligent design — in explaining the living world and the cosmos.

Children should not be labelled by their parents' religion. Terms like "Catholic child" or "Muslim child" should make people flinch.

Atheists should be proud, not apologetic, because atheism is evidence of a healthy, independent mind.

I also recommend people to read this link too...
