i mean i cannot love at will, so no, i am sorry but i dont love him...it is impossible for me to love a something i have never experienced and i am afraid that in here the almighty one is him so he could have done something more specifical to let me know him...That is if i dont love him it is really his fault not mine. But anyway i believe in him...Would that be acceptable for you??? (take the question from a hypothetical point of mind i am not personalizing)...
And for whoever says that i have to try harder to love him, i only have to say that if i try hard i can even love Peter Pan...or mind is easier to deceive, auto suggestion, induction...Anyway believing i love something/someone doesnt necessarily mean i really love something/someone.

I went to take the test to get my drivers permit and I failed it for 3 questions. I didn't study for it but when I woke up in the morning I just felt like going because I was bored, lol. When I was there I had all documents but I didn't have the proofs of address, I was in the line and there was only one person and I was like freaking out and then I looked into my bag (the one I use to go to school) and there was a salvation!!! it was soooo random, I had a letter from BYU (yeah, that one rocks and I'll go there) and my report card with my grades and my address and they said, OK. I got my eye exam and I passed it! WEIRD. well, I was so possitive and used my modelling skills for the picture and I was cool in my computer and then at the end it said: you got 14/17... that sucks! only 3 more. Dang!!!

How many times did you have to take it?
How lucky were you?

By the way, I'm not depressed about that, lol, I'm just bored ^_^

Our church is going through a really difficult time right now. I am in a new position as elder and am finding out that there is a lot of backstabbing going on. Our pastor was having some personal problems and instead of rallying around them, the church has done nothing but push them out the door and find fault with them. I feel just because a pastor is in a leadership position does not make them less human and just as the church would have rallyed around a member they should have given the pastor a leave of absence and nurtured them as a church should. I am so disappointed that I am going to church with hypocrits. Don't get me wrong, I am a sinner and fall WAY SHORT of being the person God wants me to be, but this situation has upset me more than anyone can ever know. Any ideas or have any of you been through something similar? How should I address this, if at all?

I'm going to present a scenario, and I am curious about what many Christians here feel the outcome of the scenario would be. We have a man. We'll call him Jack Wilson. Jack died this morning, via the Death Penalty. You see, he was on death row after being convicted and sentenced to death. He confessed to the rape and brutal murder of 5 women.

None of his victims were Christian. One victim was a Muslim. Another was a Scientologist. Another was an Atheist. Another was Agnostic. And the last was a Buddhist.

Okay, we turn back to the convicted/confessed rapist/murderer Jack Wilson. Moments before his execution, Jack Wilson repents. He's read the bible before, but all of the sudden the grace of jesus christ fills him. He falls to his knees, and begs Christ for forgiveness. He sincerely and genuinely feels sorry for his crimes and he now accepts Jesus as his savior who died for his sins. He is now a Christian. He is then executed. Will he go to Heaven? Will his victims?

I have gotten several violation notices in the past two days for very dumb stuff.

"What's with all the Mormon questions tonight?" was a question that I had last night because there was a huge run on Mormon questions. It got a violation notice.

I then asked this question..."Is Yahoo! Answers run by monkeys?" It also got a violation notice, after 23 answers were given.

Then someone asked..."are there any religions that warship death?"
Then I answered..."I need to tell Tragic_Typos about this question." Guess what...violation.

I don't get it. I've seen much worse on here with no violations.

Is it the monkeys? (Waiting for this violation.)

Whenever I see a business advertise itself as being Christian, I wonder if that means non Christians should take their business elsewhere. It seems to suggest that non Christians aren't honest. Personally, if I have a choice, I will take my business elsewhere when I see that.

Why would someone who is absolutely perfect in every way need for lesser being to tell him how great he is?

If your only answer is "the Bible says we should praise God", save it. I know the Bible says that humans should praise God, hence this question.

About a year ago I was in a Rape and Demestic Violence Group and everything that's said there is confidential of course. Well, there was this Mormon lady there, I think her name was Christian. And her husband worked for Hewert Packered. However it's spelt. And he went to court for beating his wife. And the judge let him off free because he was an outstanding citizen. And his wife was talking about getting a divorce. Well, Just today I read the front page of the News paper and it was talking about my town opening a 4th ward. It said the New Bishops name and that his wife's name is Christian and that he works at Hewert Packered. I put the two together in my mind and I think it's the same guy whose wife was in the Demestic violence Group because he beat her. Well, I've read stories of people getting excommunicated for bringing stuff like this up about authorities in the church. I don't want to start crap. But what would you do?

People suggested that my Genesis contradiction was not a real contradiction.

Who was Jesus' grandfather on Joesph side?

And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Matt 1:16

Or

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli. Luke 3:23
