I went to take the test to get my drivers permit and I failed it for 3 questions. I didn't study for it but when I woke up in the morning I just felt like going because I was bored, lol. When I was there I had all documents but I didn't have the proofs of address, I was in the line and there was only one person and I was like freaking out and then I looked into my bag (the one I use to go to school) and there was a salvation!!! it was soooo random, I had a letter from BYU (yeah, that one rocks and I'll go there) and my report card with my grades and my address and they said, OK. I got my eye exam and I passed it! WEIRD. well, I was so possitive and used my modelling skills for the picture and I was cool in my computer and then at the end it said: you got 14/17... that sucks! only 3 more. Dang!!!
How many times did you have to take it?
How lucky were you?
By the way, I'm not depressed about that, lol, I'm just bored ^_^

Hey, don't feel bad. I failed my learner's permit 3 time! (though fortunately I did pass the test for the full license the first time, though just barely - I thought the lady who'd administered it was more nitpicky than she needed to be). Even though I'd taken dirver's ed in school, the written tests the DMV administered would ask things like if a bicycle could use the left turn lane (even though I'd ridden a bike for years and had never heard of that - no mention of it ever came up in class - so I answered that it couldn't; turns out bikes can!).
And yeah, BYU rocks! Several family members of mine went there, including my sister and brother-in-law (they met there), a niece and her husband (and yes, they met there too), and a nephew (my sister's second oldest, though he's taking a couple of years off for his mission). The greatest college touchdown pass ever (I think) is a BYU score (the 11 yard John Beck to Johnny Harline pass with no time left on the clock and down by 4 points to beat the Utes last season).

I didn't drive until I was 21, my dad was a very chauvinist mormon, he believed as well as my chauvinist mom that I was too dum to do anything, but I became a nanny, got away from a copycat nightstalker who wanted to kill me, (or I would be dead now, PTL, without God's help I would be dead) almost drown because the marines didn't check my scuba exquipment out right, went military and served in the war, so I guess I wasn't as dum as they thought I was, the cinderlla they thought I was, was not. Now I ma working on overcoming my OCD.

When I first took the test I only missed one question--'how many days do you have to report the sale of your vehicle to the DMV?'
I had studied well, yet this question made no sense to me. I though they were testing my knowledge of driving, not selling cars!
I actually failed my first driving test. I was driving a friends truck that was on it's last leg. You had to rev the engine to about 3000 rpm's to get going or it would stall. The instructor kept asking me, "how long have you been driving?" I should have had him drive the thing, he would have passed me in a second!

My brother had to take his driver's test three times... The first time he almost crashed into his bad director in his car while we was taking the test... It was a very strange coincedence... Although that was for a driver liscense(probably spelled wrong) not a permit, for he already had one.

LOL. I only took it once, but I cheated! (I still feel guilty about that.) My best friend helped me out. (I took my learner's test in a small country police station.) I got my licence on first try, too... that was 8 years after I took my learner's test... Bit of a slow learner, hey? LOL.
Good luck for next time. :-)

I passed the written and driven tests both on the first try, but I got migraines trying to get a picture ID. Those are harder to get than a driver's license!

I passed my written test the first time, as I recall, (this was in 1981, ha ha) but had to take the driving part twice.

Awww Im sorry!
Ill try to sum mine up.
My dad took me. And on the way his car broke down, we got a jump from some surfer dude. We got to the BMV, and they said my dads car wasnt 'fit' to test in (it needing a jump and all). luckily, a nice lady from AAA let me use her car.
I passed *barely*. We got another jump for my dads car for the way home. I had the windows all the way down and ... wooooosh! out went my permit. i had to walk down the highway looking for it in very *risky* attire (hoping i'd be tested by a guy =)
