I'm going to present a scenario, and I am curious about what many Christians here feel the outcome of the scenario would be. We have a man. We'll call him Jack Wilson. Jack died this morning, via the Death Penalty. You see, he was on death row after being convicted and sentenced to death. He confessed to the rape and brutal murder of 5 women.

None of his victims were Christian. One victim was a Muslim. Another was a Scientologist. Another was an Atheist. Another was Agnostic. And the last was a Buddhist.

Okay, we turn back to the convicted/confessed rapist/murderer Jack Wilson. Moments before his execution, Jack Wilson repents. He's read the bible before, but all of the sudden the grace of jesus christ fills him. He falls to his knees, and begs Christ for forgiveness. He sincerely and genuinely feels sorry for his crimes and he now accepts Jesus as his savior who died for his sins. He is now a Christian. He is then executed. Will he go to Heaven? Will his victims?

He will. His victims won't.

He died in Jesus Christ and his victims died in Adam.

You seem to think that Jack here is a worse sinner than other folks. All of them were in the same boat headed for Niagara Falls. Maybe some in the boat thought they were better than others in the boat. But they all had the same problem.

Now six rescue lines were held out from Goat Island and this one sinner grabbed the line before he went over the Falls and the other five didn't want to grab a line.

As an evangelist, I have found that self-righteousness is the biggest problem. I would say that four out of five lost and dying sinners that I talk to really think that they're not bad enough to go to hell.

As human we are not able to say who will and will not be in Heaven. If he was truly repentant then I believe he will be in Heaven (look at the example of Paul and Steven. Paul held the coats of those that stoned Stephen to death, but we can be pretty sure they will both be in Heaven. Though I would imagine Stephen will want the back story to that one when he sees Paul).

As for the victims, being a victim of any crime does not make you a good person. That is why we should live our lives right to begin with. You never know what will be your last day. Their Salvation is up to God. If they lived their life up to the light that they have been given, then they will be in Heaven, but if they rejected God and chose to live in darkness even though they were given the truth, then they will be lost.

God knows the heart of every man and He alone will decide their fate; thus only He can answer this particular question. From Scripture, if the victims knew of Christ and rejected Him then they will not be in heaven. Once any person truly repents from sin and accepts Jesus and confesses, they are saved regardless of their previous life. They are reborn and have a new clean life, even if it is shortlived.

I was raised Christian, and from a Christian perspective, I will give you what I have honestly been taught. It isn't necessarily my personal opinion, only what was taught to me.

Jack Wilson would go to heaven, if he was truly repentent. Only God knows the heart.

Since Christianity teaches that it is the only true religion, and Jesus is the only way into heaven, then no, none of the victims would be in heaven, UNLESS none of them had ever heard the Gospel.

Christianity can be very confusing. All religions can be. It hurts my brain to try and figure it out.

Assuming that you are presenting this from the perspective of Jesus Christ, who alone is our judge, then this means that you are saying his repentence was true, and he merrits the grace for salvation. If this is not from the perspective of Jesus Christ, then we have no way of truly knowing his heart because only God can read men's hearts.

As for the victims, there is insufficient evidence given if from the perspective of Jesus Christ. The alternate is we still don't know, because only Jesus Christ will judge their hearts.

God judges the heart.

God reveals to each one of them in His own special way about His Son, throughout their lives.

if the muslim woman, just before she was murdered believe in Christ, because she heard of Christ before, then she will be saved.

similarly for all the other women and the murderer himself.

God judges the heart intention of that man. and the heart intentions of those women just before death.

if so that all of them turned to Jesus at the moment of death, in their hearts, (even a small amount of faith), then Jesus would receive them. God also knows if the man was just seeking forgiveness because of fear of death, or because he truly repented.

He will, but his victims sadly would not. Whether we get eternal life with Christ or eternal separation from God comes from whether we choose to accept Jesus's sacrifice on our behalf or not.
If Jack truly repented and sought Christ, I will see him in heaven some day.

God knows the true intentions of someones mind, if this guy truly realized, repented and accepted Jesus, then Yes he is heaven bound. As for the victims, only if they had done the same will they be with God.

For an answer, I turn to the Bible. On either side of Jesus were two thieves. When one thief repented before Jesus, Jesus told him that he would be in paradise.

Does that answer your question?
