Why would someone who is absolutely perfect in every way need for lesser being to tell him how great he is?

If your only answer is "the Bible says we should praise God", save it. I know the Bible says that humans should praise God, hence this question.

forced love is rape????? o mineeeee!!!! well whatever...you know why? because god is a human fabrication and therefore it shares the features of humans...When a christian says god wants this or that, he is just saying what he (christian) wants, god is an excuse to make internal desires to look like divine matters

I believe the purest way to answer this is :
If you devote yourself to something once you identify it, you create the relationship with it necessary to growth instead of being warm or uncertain or allowing gaps or lacking faith.

I never got the "you're gonna burn" aspects of the bible...my take on it was always the LOVE....so to me it wouldn't be a matter of God demanding to be praised but rather the desire for God to be acknowledged.would be the "personal relationship " aspect of Divine LOVE. Praise is merely a genuine outpouring of gratitude and love.

the humans writing the bible were swayed to the human aspects of what others should and shouldn't do .....when someone truly meets the Divine...let me be the first to admit they WANT to rejoice and dance and LOVE. (praise HER)he he he !

God dose not want the praise just to make him look good, or feel good about himself. God wishes us to pray to him because it causes a spiritual unity. When people come together and pray to something they believe in they make a unity. In our case this is a unity of holy worship, or the good side of the balance between good and evil. You don't have to praise him. I think he just found a creative way to unite every one under a religious banner

You ask why would some guy named God who can do anything give a rat's butt whether you or I "praise" him? Either he has a serious ego problem or he doesn't exist. If he has such an ego problem, he can't be perfect, now, can he?

The answer is there is no god and when you're dead, you're dead. Sorry to be the one to break the news to you but actually you figured it out yourself.

Because we were created by God for the purpose of praising Him. Everything in heaven and earth was created to praise God, because of His awesome goodness that He displays to those who love Him and even those who don't. Consider, all people on earth love praise in some form or another. So, if people love praise, why would God be greater than us not deserve it even more? Since He is the one who allows food to be on our table, money in our pockets, our loved one to be saved and protected, and on an on. These things are worthy to praise Him for. If it were not for Him we could live a very horrible existence, worst than what we can imagine.

God has low self esteem. He needs constant ego boosts from his people. He even created people just so he could have them tell him how great he is all the time. If they don't do this, he sets them on fire forever. Read the Book of Revelations and how it describes heaven. Everyone sings hymns and tells God he's great all the time.

Actually I think that religion and maybe even a vast majority amongst christianity have given us the impression that God is this Praise seeking God who needs His ego to be stroked all day long. Most of the Songs and choruses that are sung have been in the line of worhipping God and praising His name and that kind of thing.
God is Who He is ...As God..He IS worshipped and praised. But is this all that God wants?
I"d say NO
Its NOT

God has desired from the very beginning to share all that He is with mankind. He went about creating man in His very image and according to His own likeness with the intention that this man would one day contain Him as his very content and to express Him on the earth

Such a wonderful creation God made and handed it over to man. Had God been this praise seeking person He'd have kept all of this to Himself and not include man in it.

Even after the fall God did not let this deter Him. He made a way for Man again through His Son Jesus Christ. And this is not so that man can be in a position to come into God's holy presence to worhip Him and praise Him.. But moreso its for God to have a way to enter man to work all that He is INTO this man so that this man can be one with Him.. Be His many sons in glory... be the joint heirs of His Son Jesus Christ.. To cause man to be seated In the Heavenlies In Christ Jesus... For the Church to be the Body and Bride of Christ ... imagine that... its not just about praise but about a mutual sharing.. As man we do not bring much to the table when you think of it..
we make messy choices to this day.. but God is still willing to work with us.. to cherish us.. to love us no matter what.. to faithfully FINISH what He begun in us.

But like any parent... when our children are coming along well.. as a parent we are proud.. we feel praised .. not because of what people see.. but because of what WE see in our own kids.. .
We really do misinterpret GOd's intentions a lot.. but even then.. the Lord seeks to show us His true self..

May our eyes be open. and our hearts always turned to Him

Because He is lower grade.
In the heaven, their grade is rated by how many people ( in the earth of their creation ) praised Him.

And I don't see He is going to promoted. Because, human are getting very closer to what He is.

It's the same as wanting your kids to say "I love you Mommy, your such a good Mommy". There's nothing wrong with wanting a little adoration from those you love. God bless!!
