I believe this section was made, like all the others, to increase interest in Yahoo! and broaden the customer base to bring in more ad revenue.

The R&S section is to discuss Religion and spirituality. Atheist have views and opinions on religion and spirituality don't they?
You don't have to be Christian to be religious or spiritual. Besides most Christians claim they are not religious or spiritual, but they have a relationship with Christ, but they still; come to the R&S section. That tells me they are religious even thought they claim not to be.

No, and it seems funny that the Atheists (who are anti-religion) seem to dominate this area. What's up with that? You'd think people who are so against the idea that there is a God would stay far, far away from talk of religion.

Actually, it seems like a majority of the questions are made for a debating perpose.

I think the idea of Yahoo! Answers was to get information across and to have a little bit of friendly discussion/enlightenment/what have you.
This is not what was intended. However, it cannot be said that we are not following the rules, so it works.

I don't know if you know this, but Religion and Spirituality is open for EVERY religion. Not just the monotheistic ones and definitely not just christianity.
But christianity is just so easy and so fun to take the p|ss out of.

I have no idea if it was made with that intention in mind. But how boring would this be if it was populated exclusively with people who all believed the same things?

I think it was made more for the DISCUSSION of religion and spirituality.
atheists can discuss too. It's individuals that make it into a dibate.

I don't, I just look for questions I can answer. I also try not to be forceful or anything in my answers as well.
