Why would people believe in something that men were forced to sit down and write, knowing that if they didn't agree upon ideas, they would all die by the hand of King James? Why was the Bible edited into one book?
OOps three questions in one. Do you have the answer to at least one of them??

I think we should. When I look at schools today with all their myriad problems (underfunding, school shootings, violence, racism, gang beatings, low achievement, undertrained teachers, overworked teachers, teachers who don't care, etc.) I think maybe a little faith is just what a lot of kids need, and it could potentially help a lot of people. I suggest three prayers a day.

First off, we start the day off with a prayer to Odin, for the ability and open-mindedness to learn our lessons well and attain knowledge and wisdom.

Second, we pray to Frey and Freya at lunch and thank them for a bountiful harvest. Thank them that we have food to eat even though we may not personally be farmers who go out and work in the fields, and let them know that we appreciate their gifts.

Finally, at the end of the day, we finish up with a prayer to Thor to protect our children as they go their various ways to their homes at night, so that they may come back safely the next day for more learning.

It seems people only ask religious questions which are always negative and fostering resentment. Does this mean that none of you people have any spiritual essense within you, only malice and hatred for others. It only shows how sad this world has become when a spiritual religious section is nothing more than a slagging match. So use your brains please and ask some deep questions if you are not to shallow.

Its like your mind is in a fog or is asleep. You feel like you are close to an epiphany or some sort of revelation. You don't know what it is or anything but you feel that it is so close that it will change your life.

It creates a sort of anxiousness within you, an excitement.

I gets worse when I'm outside. Dunno - I'm just a weirdo I guess.

Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was white as snow.
And everywhere the children went,
The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed them to school each day,
Twasn't even in the rule.
It made the children laugh and play.
To have the Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak his Name.

Everyday got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,
That's in our schools today?
Let's let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

Research begun in 1987 exposed a series of 'half-truths' that were attacking the traditional family unit.

The 'virus' had corrupted 'protective cells' within certain systemic agencies, (Children's Aid Societies, and Women's Centers).

The logic used was one often associated with mental illness, whereby 'black and white' generalized logic was used to divide the unit, the family unit.

In particular the isolated of women, totally ignoring motherhood, husbands, fathers, children and more was key to this corruption...

Why has this error in human logic not been exposed as of yet ?

Can anyone tell me if this is true if you are non-believer and you want to marry a catholic you are required to go to a 6 week course to learn about their religion? Is it scary? Is it true that you have to promise that you will raise your children as Catholics? Do they really only eat fish on Friday’s and don't practice safe sex because of not believing in birth control?

Would this include "Jesus": "division" and not peace
(Matthew 10:34; Luke 12:51; John 7:43; 9:16)

Would them causing division include Atheists vs X-ians?

Would "division" be contrary to doctrine of "unity"?
Would alienation be contrary to doctrine of reconciliation?

Can God be one by division, or is God one by unity?

God on high? Seems to be divided: left/right heavens.

Unity of the Ghost(Law) or of the Spirit(Grace)?

He told me that i'm only his 2ndry Soul Mate and that they have a connection far deeper than we ever could. We have been together of 10 years and we have 3 really young children who i'm left to look after on my own now. He tells me they both spend their evenings talking to dead people, spirit guids, higher powers & checking past live connections. I, along with all my family & friends, are in a state of shock - not just at his leaving but also his reasoning. Has anyone been through something similar or know someone one who has? Has he completely been brainwashed and lost his mind or is there some greater picture I'm just not getting?

Now I am an atheist, but I don not feel that should be taken out of our pledge or our goverment in general. Mainly for the sake of our history as a country. We established our goverment based on a belief in God and our country was built by great men and women who truly believed in that. I think it would be wrong to try to erase the historical references of God in our country. That's just me though, so what do you think atheists and christians?

Agree/disagree: If the Founding Fathers really wanted a Christian nation, then why does their First Amendment conflict with the First, Second, and Third Commandments?

Most of you remember the First, Second, and Third Commandments:

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain."
"Thou shalt not make any graven image."

And almost as many of you remember the First Amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for redress of grievances."

So if the Founders were establishing a "Christian nation," why did they draft this amendment and why did they make it the first and most important one?

I used to belong to the high control group or cult Jehovah's Witnesses as some people call it. Now I am free after 10 years. I sometimes get the urge to talk to friends I had to leave behind in the cult. I find it difficult not being allowed to talk to them because some religion tells me I can’t. Isn't it crazy that I can’t be their friend just because I don't believe in their religion? Why does religion have to come between friendships? I accept people from all types of religion as my friends! As long as they don't try and convert me I don't care what they believe.
