then why are so many so dangerous to man? Why do some snakes and spiders have lethal venom? Why are some plants toxic? Why are there preadtors that can easly kill us?

And don't say "because man sinned"....there are 2 things wrong with that arguement. First, god, being god, already KNEW man would sin so why create plants & animals and later make them dangerous? Why not make them dangerous to begin with? And secondly, why would this not be mentioned in the bible?

So, why are there dangerous plants & animals on earth?

I would like to die alone in a dark mansion. I think that it would be a mystery and then everyone would always try to solve it. And in my own blood the words "The last breath is the first of many" would be written on the wall.

My husband has always had a steady job, but never one that made enough to support a family. (ie. $25,000 - $35,000) so I have always had to work too to keep a roof over our head. Every time we discuss him looking into a different line of work or education, his answer is "I don't know what I want to do". He then asks me to tell him what to do. For the first 15 years or so, I tried to help him find answers, but I now have refused to do so any more. I've explained to him that it is part of his priesthood responsibility to provide for his family, but instead of taking it to the Lord, or even discussing it with other men, he wants me to solve his problem. What should I do?

Ok, to make this question official, here's another:

Why create an improbably being (God) which raises even more questions to solve another question (eg: the birth of the Universe) ?

Do you think it is right to send 20 million Mexicans back to a life of poverty. Or should we let them stay knowing it will possibly hurt Americans in the future? I am having trouble with this.

I asked this question awhile ago but it was mainly Christians who answered it...which was great because I wanted their opinion too, but I'm also looking for non-religious viewpoints.

Okay, so non-Christians: should polygamy be outlawed in our nation? Is making polygamy illegal infringing on people's rights...not only human rights but also religious rights?

I just find it very interesting that society for so long has pushed only monogamous heterosexual relationships on a legal level. It seems that polygamy is a victimless crime as long as it's not tied to things like forced marriage, child marriage, etc. In America, shouldn't people be allowed to marry who they want, even if that's more than one person? This ties into religion because for a lot of people, polygamy is a religious issue.

And yes, I have been watching a lot of Big Love lately.

All I said was that I know when I'm doing something wrong but most of the time I just dont care and I do it anyways...his response..."Well, you're going to hell."

I was so shocked I just got up and left.

FYI Im Catholic...or at least I was...I dont know if I believe in organized religion anymore

And isn't God supposed to be the one to judge me anyways? Not the priest....

I don't care about "earning" any of that stuff.

I do consider a thumbs down from an atheist a victory, though. It tells me that they read my post, and that's all that matters to me.

How 'bout you?

Heaven how will we know what's good in heaven if there's only good in heaven? I don't think we need bad to know what's good. Do we really need pain to recognize joy on earth? I don't think so.

Christians are to witness the gospel of Christ to others. Many of them hate us. Jesus told us this would happen. Be steadfast in your witness. Don't become lukewarm, so you will be popular. When you must endure the onslaught of vicious verbal attacks, remember it could be worse. You could be one of them. You could be prideful, arrogant, angry, hostile, full of hate, and deceived. You could be lost. Pray for them. Love them. But, don't lie to them just to get along with them. Satan has already lied to them. What they need is honesty. Whether or not they are willing to accept the truth is out of our hands. They have been given the free will to make their own choice as to where they want to spend eternity. They call us names and insult us in any way they can think of, but this is only an indication they need Jesus. Obey God and witness to those who are lost in sin. Jesus never said it would be easy. He only said it would be worth it.
May God bless you and may His Holy Spirit guide you.

BODIES, BUILDINGS, INNOCENT PEOPLE AND NOW THE FLIPPING AIRPOST IN SCOTLAND. in a car!
I am sick of these crazy fanatics trying to blow people up all the time. I have been living in this country for 25 years, born and proudly British Bred. I value British Government to treat us normal citizens, and I value the rules and always abide by them.
But what really gets to me is when some of these WIERD "muslims" start ruinin it for us. And they ask why BNP wants to throw us muslims out?!

If I can live peacefully as a British Muslim why can't others? What do they get out of it? They are or shall I say HAVE made it VERY hard for us more than ever in any generation! Now the rest of us have to suffer for some head slapping crazy nuts acts or so called "beliefs"

Many of you responded that the reason that some people live through events like 9/11 and others die is because, for the survivors, it was not their time to go. Yet, in my previous hypothetical question, many of you indicated that you would thank God for answering your prayer and letting you live through the event. However, if God had already determined when you were going to die, doesn’t that mean that he was not responding to your prayer? In other words, you weren’t supposed to die that day anyway. Your prayer was irrelevant. For those who died, they were probably praying that they would live, but God had already determined that it was their day to die. So, in such a case, is there any point in praying? The future was already pre-determined by God (at least by your logic), correct?
