I'd be surprised if I found out that Heaven is anything other than a non-stop keg party. From everything I read and meditated on, I think that's what God has in store for us.

I will tell you what the Bible says about death, therefore, what I believe happens after death.
When we die, we sleep, until the Lord's second coming. When we die, we rest quietly, undisturbed by the problems of life or worries about loved ones suffering here on earth.
ONLY GOD IS IMMORTAL!!!
DUST + SPIRIT = LIVING SOUL
Job 27:3 says"All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils"
Example:
light bulb + electricity = light
The Hebrew word 'ruach' translated 'spirit' comes from the same root as other words pertaining to 'breath' or 'breathing'

John 5:28-30 "The time is coming when all the dead will hear the voice of God and they will rise again. They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and those who whave done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
Answer= How can they be in hell or heaven already if they have not been judged yet? When they are resurrected, they will receive their reward.
If the dead are already in heaven (or hell) then, there is no need for a future judgment day.
Psalm 104:29 says that when you die all your thoughts perish. So does Isaias 38:18-19, the dead cannot praise you; only the living can give you all the praise and glory.
Psalm 115:17- the dead do not praise the Lord
Lazarus death is a clear example..."Our friend Lazarus sleeps but I go and I wake him out of sleep...Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead" John 11:11-14
*Lazarus was dead and Jesus called it sleep.
Lazarus had been dead for 4 days. Jesus told Martha:"your brother will rise again". Martha: "Yes, when everyone else rises on resurrection day"
Jesus said:"I am the resurrection and the life, those who believe in me, even if they die, will live again"
And Lazarus was resurrected after 4 days of being dead. Does it make sense that if Lazarus was in Heaven, God would send him back to earth to a life of suffering?

GOD IS LOVE. God would never allow a place called 'hell' in which his children would burn for ever and ever. Again, we see Satan at work wanting us to believe that God is unjust and cruel. Satan has created these lies(and many others) since heaven. So, if Cain has been burning in 'hell' for 4 thousand years, and some one who dies today, burns for only 1 day; UNJUSTthis would make God unfair and cruel.
When our Lord Jesus Christ returns in all His glory, we will receive our reward(or punishment) according to our actions.
(Ezequiel28:18-19"I brought fire from your midst; it devoured you, it turned you into ashes...and you shall be no more")The fire is not eternal, it has an end, just look at Sodom and Gomorrah.
I hope this helps you understand better what the Bible says about death and heaven/hell.
God Bless

To the person who says we should not answer this confidently unless we have experienced it, did you read that back before posting? Thought not.

I think we, as a species, can confidently say that when you die you are dead. You are not in a position to answer questions, or use a computer.

To paraphrase, Monty Python, you will be an ex human, pushing up the daisies.

I've heard a lot of things and i don't want to make an exact statement...but This is what i think. After you die, your body goes back into the ground(how you started) and your spirit gets judged by God...either God will say "I am proud" or "I did not know you" which will tell if you go to heaven or hell.

i really don`t know what to say, but if God exists then the soul goes to heaven or hell, if you are saved by God because u were a good person then you`ll be in heaven, but according to the laws that were impossed by God in the bible(as it`s said) almosty all humans are going to be burnt in hell.
maybe there`s a slight period of "soul wandering" by this i mean a ghost or entity trapped in this dimension

I have no idea what happens after death.

Neither does anybody else.

But there is a lot of wishful thinking going around.

I know that after I die, I will go to the Spirit World, there to await the Second Coming of Christ. The when he comes again, We will all be judged according to our works, and sent to the appropriate place for how we acted in our life.

You get put in the ground and slowly rot away. But it would be fun to come back as a flying squirrel.

Thinking stops. The very thing which causes separation disappears.
