Heaven how will we know what's good in heaven if there's only good in heaven? I don't think we need bad to know what's good. Do we really need pain to recognize joy on earth? I don't think so.

There are two kinds of bad in this world - for example:

It is bad to bomb on your SAT tests because you were lazy and didn't study. That kind of bad might teach you or other people the value of studying.

On the other hand there are children who are born with cancer and horrific birthdefects. This is cruel and inhumane. The babies did nothing to deserve this and there is no good reason to allow it just so other people can appreciate how good they have it.

A god who could prevent this second kind of "bad" and doesn't is evil.

Why do you enjoy a care-free day out with your family? Its because you don`t always have that. The same concept exsists for good and evil, sadness and happiness, life and death. If everyone was nice and kind and sweet, we wouldn`t know any other way. If we were always happy, we wouldn`t appreciate it. And what reason is there to live if there`s no end? I don`t believe that heaven is 100% good. People get bored and if everything is good, then in theory, there is no good. There always has to be balance.

That's the way it is. Has always been (Is 45:7-'I make peace and create evil.I, the Lord, do all these things.')
Even the ancient Egyptians acknowledged this. Two of their main gods were Set and Osiris. Osiris was the 'good guy' and Set was the god of chaos and confusion.
Another example is a coin or a pancake-'No matter how flat it is, it always has two sides.
The cartoon/movie 'Labyrinth' covers it. The whole you can't have one without the other.

There will only be good in heaven... and we will all know G-ds truth.

We will long to DO Good... but there will be no occasion to sacrifice the way we have (or need to) here for G-d's cause. It will be fufilled.

Instead of living in paradise not having the knowledge of Evil... as Adam lost..... We will live in paradise even with the knowledge of Evil... as Jesus provided.

While good can exist without bad, and joy without sorrow, the feelings and understanding are much deeper with the full frame of reference.

Picture a sun set. The color's play across the clouds in a symphony of light and joy. You don't just think, but you FEEL the will of God and the joy of Creation. Now, imagine every second of every day is a sun setting. It's not so special now is it?

I believe in balance. You can' t have one with out the other otherwise you have nothing to compare. They sort of define the other by being opposite.
