Does that mean that loving cheezits is evil? I love cheezits! Actually, the bible says that eating fruit is evil in Genesis 3 as god excommunicated his creations for eating fruit... hmmm... In fact if the US is xtian centric, then we should excommunicate Georgia for promoting peaches as fruit is evil.

He's speaking of Revelation chapter 13 (Mark of the Beast). You have to first understand what the beast is. You have to study the book of Daniel and understand prophecies in it, such as the statue of several metals which represented various kingdoms which would hold power throughout history.
For instance, history proves that the Old Testament books were compiled in Babylon in the sixth century B.C. Daniel prophecied Alexander the Great's reign and his empire's split into four to his Generals after his death.
You won't understand biblical prophecy until you understand the fact that the Bible has never been proven to be historically inaccurate (evolution/creation/Genesis debate aside).
The Beast of RFevelation is the last world empire which will control the whole earth. This is what globalism is all about. The world will be overtaken by fascism and turned over to the last world ruler to control through a form of socialism. The whole world will take the mark showing allegance to his rule. Chaos will engulf the world and he will come as the world's saviour and decieve the world.
Have you noticed how all the worl'd religions await a saviour of some kind. He will fulfill all expectations.
The Mark is said to control all mankind. If you notice that all the world is moving to a cashless society you must see that all people can be controlled through the control of the flow of money. Do you see how almost everything is controlled today by electronic transactions, whether it be money or information, etc. This is how the last world leader will control through the Mark. Rev 13 says that whoever does not take the mark will not be able to buy or sell. Do you see that 2000 years ago, noone could see such a thing as being possible? But today, it's a reality.

The "mark" will be something people wilfully accept. It will be visible to God and His angels. So that thay will be sorted from the plagues and wrath awaiting to fall on man in the near future.
I thought of it as an acceptance thing. Something you believe and by your actions. Hence in the forehead - (mind) and right hand - (actions). You accept God. Or you wilfully accept Satan. If you do not accept God, well then....What other choice will YOU have? There will be NOBODY "on the fence". God will be sure of this.
The "beast" (a system) will be killing people who decide not to decide or refuse. The world is being prepared for some REALLY hard times. People in America think it's all buble gum and candy. The rest of this planet doesn't share your feelings. It's ugly out there. I've been there. People want peace and happiness, badly. Some just want to eat. Soon there will be a solution. But it's going to cost.
Most of the world will become willing victoms. Like sheep to the slaughter. The critism of Christians will become persecution. Science won't save us either. It never could. It never has. So don't worry about barcodes on chef boyarde and jack mackerel cans.

Well, yes, it has to do with the Mark of the Beast. I've heard this too, as a kid, from a friend whose family was perhaps a bit more literal in their biblical interpretations than mine was. But your friend is taking the Mark of the Beast/barcode thing out of context.
(Visit the link I listed as my source. It explains it much better than I; but I will try to summarize.)
In the time of the Tribulation, when the World will unite against the Righteous, it is stated that there will be a system of identification, so that all those who swear allegiance to the Antichrist will be able to have access to food, shelter, medical treatment, this sort of thing. The Righteous will be cast out as dogs, left to starve, languish, and die for their refusal to disown Christ and worship the Antichrist.
There has been great speculation over the years as to what that system of identification will be. Some have suggested that it will be a barcode tatooed on the body; some are suggesting now that it could be a microchip implanted in the body. It could be any number of things, really. There are those who have stated that a move towards a cashless society is a mark of the devil; indeed, we are a predominantly plastic-currency society. That doesn't in and of itself make us a hotbed for demonic activity; but the system being in place makes instant control over the economy that much more of a reality (i.e. anyone holding a debit card of the Bank of the Beast will have access to money to buy food, etc.; all others would have no card, and thus no access to necessities).
Having a tattoo of a barcode at this point in time isn't going to brand you with the Mark of the Beast. It might look tacky, but it won't condemn you (or save you, depending on how you look at it). If you are alive in the time of the Tribulation, and you accept the Mark of the Beast, in whatever form it takes, by worshipping the Antichrist rather than holding to faith in Christ, THAT is the Mark that will brand you, and while it may save you in body during that time, it will condemn you for all eternity in soul, by that choice to reject Christ.

If a governing official is prompting you in the future for any type of sub-dermal mark of any kind...I would refuse,by all means....Cheezits,Triscuits or Alpo dog food bar codes are not descriptive of an allegiance to the impending New World Order and it's head, the Antichrist or The first Beast(if you prefer),mentioned in the book of Revelation.

Thats purely a superstition raised by ignorance. However, getting a tattoo isnt good according to the Bible, because it goes against the principle of treating your body like a holy temple, without defilement, (can't find the scripture right now).
and the basic definition of Hades, is that it is the common grave of mankind, so no matter what you do, good or bad, everyone goes to hades, or the in other words the ground:)
happy inking!!lol

The mark of the beast will be more than just a mark. It will be more like bowing to a satanic figure.
