homosexuality is forbidden in all religions. if you believe in the bible, the holy Qura'an, the jews' holy book. u will know about Sodom & Gomorrah. these were 2 cities which were destroyed by god for what was happening in them. homosexuality and the like. god destroyed them and covered a sea over them (the dead sea) and that sea is so salty you cannot go down, you just float (aint that a coincidence). the book of genisis says this but yet christians allow gays to marry? excuse me but am i the only one finding something wrong here. religion is not like politics, its like if they refuse homosexuals theyll lose popularity. example,a priest is one that lives and breathes the bible, but yet he agrees to marry gays. i dont care if this is the 21century, religion dont change, what was written thousands of years ago doesnt just change because some people disagree with it. In islam you CANNOT be gay, simple. if you muslim and 'become' gay it means you are no longer a muslim.

if you are a christian you should not be gay,you only have to read in the bible from the book of romans to know that romans 1 verses 26 and 27.It is simple you cannot be a christian and gay. a so called gay marriage is not a real marriage, this is because only a marriage between a man and a woman is the real thing in gods eyes.every other type of so called marriage is a sin.

You are clearly wrong. Homosexuality is NOT forbidden in all religions, just the dick-head ones that are power obsessed.
Let's look at something here. Homosexuality does not actually cause any damage to other people, so cannot, therefore be immoral, if your moral system is based upon a damage/non-damage basis. Just because it is said that God doesn't like gays (And I have never come across God ever saying that in any religion), doesn't make it wrong. Unless God wants to be wrong, because he bases his own morality on whimsy and not something more functional and real.
Listen, life is short, and I am sick of stating functional reality to all you f*cking mindless comformists who can't think for yourselves. Gentle believers are fine. But aggressive believers get ideas above their low intellectual station. Islam, Christianity and Judaism are simply wrong when it comes to gays. The old fellers who wrote those religions were scared of anything that represented an individualistic view, or personality, even. Ironic really, when you consider that, Moses, Christ and Mohammed were heroes of individuality.
Conformists, followers, whatever! You hold our species back so very badly. You are not evil, but you do evil in your naivety.
This nonsense was illustrated well on TV when someone did a piece on Eminen. He was on stage being individualistic and preaching individuality. This was why his followers liked the guy. He was such a cool individual. But, what never sunk in, as they praised him to the skies, was that THEY WEREN'T. You simply cannot be a good Christian by following Christ, a good Muslim by following Mohammed etc etc etc. You must BE your own version of those individuals. Otherwise you will merely be a statistic.

i see and understand what you have written. valid point and i do agree BUT we can still accept others with them knowing our stance. I do not believe a priest should marry the two gays together. Nor should he encourage it. I think that the Bible says what it says for a reason. It is not right and God did not intend man with man and woman to woman. I think the people are in bondage and they need christian love so that they may receive help and deliverance. a lot of times the homosexuals have many deep wounds and they need to feel acceptance and in time God will get through to them. i have been around situations like this before. Religion, the Bible and God do not need to change the people need to change. we need wisdom not the trends of the 21 century.

First, I have to respond to an answer I saw below saying that homosexuals are not Christians.

The bible does forbid homosexuality as it does OTHER sins. Man is born with a sinful nature. It's innate. Someone who is committing adultery, using the Lord's name in vain, someone stealing- none of them are different then someone practicing homosexuality. A sin is a sin.

When we as Christians accept Jesus as our Savior, we still are struggling with sins and temptations. Christians who have sinned with homosexuality are still Christians. They are struggling with a SIN. It is something they need to pray about and flee the temptation, just like anyone else struggling with another sin.

It's not your place to judge another Christian or cause him to stumble by pointing out his sin. Jesus said "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone." Can you cast it? NO. You are supposed to show Godly love and encourage your brother and sister in Christ to help them.

As for Organized Religions who recognize homosexual marriages, they are not following the bible. God clearly defined marriage between a man and a woman, in the bible. There is a reason a woman can't impregnate a woman or a man impregnate a man. Even if you look at it from an atheist, agnostic, evolutionist or creationist point of view, it doesn't add up.

I still love my brothers and sisters in Christ who are struggling with the sin of homosexuality. We all have sins we struggle with and who am I to judge, as I struggle with other sins myself?

The bible also allows and teaches slavery, rape and incest..... Should you still keep slaves? How about sending your daughter to be raped by the mop of men at Sodom & Gomorrah, ware after they flee they get there dad drunk and then rape him?? Hum, your point sick and wrong…. I always loved that Sodom & Gomorrah story, a great lesson to base your values on…. And people wonder why I’m Atheist!

The Bible also says that you are to keep the Sabbath holy (not go shopping or work). You must not judge others. You must not want what your neighbor has. You are not to eat pork. You must marry your husband's brother if your husband dies. If someone commits adultery they must be stoned to death. And the list goes on and on. Are you going to pick and chose what you believe from the Bible and holy books? Or are you going to be compassionate and love others unconditionally, as all the world religions teach us to do?

It's possible for a Christian to slip into a sin he once committed before salvation. But, this acceptance of homosexuality is forbidden.

Honey, just because you're a priest doesn't mean you are a follower of God (Jesus). Jesus said not EVERYONE who says Lord Lord, will enter into heaven. Jesus also said if you loved Him you will keep His commandments. It used to burn me up, too, when I saw other so called christians doing stuff they shouldn't... but all you can do is correct them (with another brother or sister) and if they still choose to err, then too bad for them. Just pray for their soul, that God would have mercy on them. We can't control what others do... all we can do is pray and spread the TRUTH. God bless u

Homosexuality is forbidden in all religions? Wrong. Most NeoPagan religions are either neutral on the subject of homosexuality or positively accepting of it.

The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual behavior is a sin not homosexuality. They accept homosexuals providing they do not practice the sexual acts associated with it. They hate the sin but love the sinner.

Just an FYI.
