Here is a question for you bible believers. All of the apostles wrote a gospel about Jesus, yet when the bible was compiled much was left out. They were probably left out by monks who thought no one would believe the stories from them. Would you?

For example, In the Gospel of Thomas, he tells about Jesus as a child. Some of the stories were about Jesus transforming his playmates into goats, or turning mud into sparrows, or he would help his dad out with his carpentry by lengthening a piece of wood.

Perhaps if the complete gospels were left in the bible would not be taken so literally.

If every angel mentioned in Scripture is a reference to a male angel, where do people get the idea of female angels from?

and Cherubim are warring angels... Everytime you read about them in scripure they are fighting or have flaming swords.. Who decided to put diapers on them and make them look like babies?

Why wouldn't Jews want to spread the word about God's message to humanity if the Torah is the only message out there? From what I've read, it is more out of fear of anti-semitism. Is that true?

I asked a good question earlier about Adam & Eve regarding children and how certain individuals came about because Eve was the only woman on earth, yet there is no real explanation of how Cain found a woman in the land of Nod...So is it possible that Jesus did have a wife and children considering that there is the possibility of parts of the Bible missing (due to wars or something lost over time)?

It is my personal belief that the entity known by many names, though by far the most common one is God, is the same entity described in Greek mythology as Uranus, the Sky. Following the rules of the telephone game, all stories, including those of the Bible(it is a FACT that there are deliberate as well as unintended mistranslations from the original Hebrew to the King James version of the Bible and other translations), change over time through miscommunication, mistranslations, and variations. So maybe there was a root belief in various Gods in one area, and when the human race split to all corners of the world, the stories changed? (not a real belief of mine; just a possibility)

What if you marry somebody, and find out that you aren't sexually compatible? Or you find out that they aren't good at sex at all? How would you like being stuck with them for life after finding that out? (unless you divorce)

Why do Christians and other believers insist on believe Adam and Eve were the first people on earth, if it has been scientifically proven wrong and impossible to even have ever happened? I can tell you why, but you have to e-mail me because it's complicated to explain!

P.S. To all of those "scientists" trying to prove that God is real, YOU CAN'T because God is a theory and theories can't be proven with no eveidence! And the bible is not evidence!

God is supposed to be all-loving, but if that were the case, sin wouldn't exist. I believe that if God were truly all-loving, he would forgive even those who don't repent, and destroy Hell altogether and allow all things to enter heaven. (or at least not have Hell be eternal for human souls)

And while I'm at it, I recall part of the story of Jesus(I forget which gospel) where he went to another country that had a different religion than his own, but he didn't tell them to convert, which basically implies that he doesn't care about what we believe in, so long as we treat each other with respect.

IF you think so...why? Because things aren't fully explained?

That's the thing about the Monodei religions(Jewish, Christian, Muslim). We're not suppossed to know the full truth until we ger into Heaven.

So, knowing that, what is your reasoning for believing the bible is fiction?

No stupid answers like "because I said so" or something dumb to that effect. I want reasonable, well explained, answers.

My girl and I are experiencing some major sex issues, meaning she's really not performing all too well. This happened after our sex talk with the minister at our church. We are raised Christians and are very devout in our faith. We're both part of the Holy Christian American Youth Alliance.

The minister claims it's wrong and we should repent for our sins. To tell you the truth I only believe him partially as I did not read anywhere in the Bible that says couples shouldn't have and enjoy sex. It goes completely against the Christian faith as how can we procreate if we don't regularly consummate our relationship.

My delimma now is that I don't know how to make her hot again during our lovemaking? This might tear us apart as I don't want to end up getting some on the side and still be with her. Please help, any suggestions if you're going through the same thing? Peace!

Please explain your theory that addresses the end of the world.
I know the term Rapture and the 2nd Coming , please explain it for me, I am not clear on it. I just know bits and pieces.

I have heard of the term Mehdi(spelling??) that Shiites believe in but what is it Is it unique only to Shi'ites ? Do Sunnis have any beliefs similar to it? Please explain the concept of it.

I am comparing and contrasting Christian and Muslim 'end of times' beliefs. Please help me out

I'm just wondering, because i recently converted to christianity and i'm not exactly sure what mainstream christians believe on this topic. I was reading the Bible and I understand that God created Adam and Eve. I understand that they had 2 children Cain & Abel...Cain murdered Abel...It goes on to say that Cain knew his wife and bore Enoch...my question here is who was Cain's wife and where did she come from...wasnt Eve the only woman on earth at the time. Does one think that parts of the Bible have been omitted? It was just a question I had....Thanks & God Bless!

The Church Gossip... and small town gossip works this way as well.

Mildred, the church gossip and self-appointed monitor of the church's
morals, kept sticking her nose in to other people's business.

Several members did not approve of her extracurricular activities,
but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused George, a new member, of
being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the
town's only bar one afternoon.

She emphatically told George (and several
others) that everyone seeing it there would know what he was doing.

George, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned
and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny... he said
nothing.

Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of
Mildred's house... walked home... and left it there all night.

The Qu'ran does speak differently saying Adam your first prophet sinned and was forgiven.. Muhammad was instructed to pray for forgiveness...Muhammad's pryer in the Hadirths he prayed for forgivenss and it is said he prayed many times a day for forgiveness...I think because Chrsit is perfect and ony God is perfect that Muslims attempt to make all prophets sinless...Christ is perfect only because he is the Son of God and a part of the whole of God and only God is perfect. Christ was perfect for a reason in the Bible he is the Son of God who atoned for sin. Only God could fufill the law only he is righteous and without sin.
