"There is NOTHING from without a man, that entering into him can defile him" - Mark 7.
JESUS SAID THERE IS "NOTHING" NOT "NO FOOD"

Corinthians 7:7-9
7-For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8-I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
9-But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn."

He wanted men to be single like him, BUT EVERY MAN HAS HIS GIFT FROM GOD(Bi/straight/gay)

1 Samuel 20:41 - They are "David and Jonathan"
" . . . they kissed one another, and wept one with another . . . "

To make sure you don't miss the sexual aspect, the love is compared (favorably, by the way) with the love of a woman. ---------------------

I hear that the NASB is so close to the Greek that those who study Greek Theology use it instead of the actual Greek. All mature comments appreciated.

I know the religion is basically in Utah. My twin sister told me that Mormons are racists & they are pretending to be nice & befriending black people to come to their church so that the black people can be their slaves in heaven.

Also, I have a Black Mormon friend, & he experiences racism inside his church, so I don't know.

Our debate is that to read the King James version of the bible, there is no mention of rain before Noah's flood. There is water in various forms. But not actual rain that is falling, or has fallen from the sky. A friend suggests that just because it is not mentioned doesn't mean it did not exist. It is also suggested that the translation from Hebrew to English might be the cause of the omition of the words rain or raining or any word or words that would describe what we would call rain. Could it say rain in a Jewish bible?

Christ paid taxes. Why is religion exempt? I know he got the money from the belly of a fish, but nevertheless he paid them.

...it makes it too hard for them to understand that you might have appoached the idea of god more earnestly than they have?

A part of me wants to remind other skeptics that the best policy is to "walk on eggs shells" so that you don't inflame them, but from what i see, alot of christians see even questioning in general as being hateful. what do you do?!
damned if do, damned if you don't.

Why in Genesis 1:20-31 god created all animals before man, then in Genesis 2 :18-19, god created all animals after man?
So dinosaurs then man, or man then dinosaurs?

atheist by definition is a BELIEF THERE IS NO GOD. not a I KNOW THERE IS NO GOD. big difference in these two statements.for you the atheist to make the statement there is no god,you would have to be all knowing.100% knowledge in the universe.since mankind knows about 2% of all the knowledge in the universe the so called atheist must admitt that god could possibly exist in the other 98% knowledge that he or she doesn't know.so really ALL atheist are really agnostic.to say no is intellectual suicide.

Ok last one!!!

I will be teaching a class to teen girls and wanted some input from the Muslimahs out there.

They already told me that they do not want to hear the same lines that they hear from their parents and teachers. So any personal stories or other ideas would be very helpful.

1. are boys and girls allowed to be friends
2. can boys and girls talk on the phone
3. can boys and girls IM
4. are Muslims allowed to date
5. if they are allowed to date how does it take place

There is just so much research that I can perform. Hearing from you would help to put it all into perspective.

Thank you.

the Holy Spirit says it is in the New Testament,-which is the last 4 books of the bible.Would you trust a God,that said 1 wrong thing?Yet many educated, highly intelligent people, have been convinced by research and study, that the bible is as the author said it is",INFALLIBLE"!Consider this:If your wrong in your assement about the bible-you have a lot to lose!If your right about it and know it absolutly, you have alot to gain!

If part of God's plan is "free will", which includes the following:
- free to believe and have faith
- Choice to sin or not
- people suffering
- birth defects
- cancer
- etc...
Then how can praying for God to heal someone be allowed? Or pray for a miracle. This interferes with freewill. And when that happens, you no longer have freewill.

In short, when divine intervention occurs, you lose your free will. Don't some religions dismiss the possibilities of miracles?

Seriously why do you oppose them? Isn't important to have all the facts about your religions and view them equally?
Do the gnostic gospels threaten your religion and this is why you object to them?
Not trying to offend just trying to get people to think about the gnostic gospels and ask questions about them to their religious leaders

using my twisted logic, i have compiled a list of similarities 'tween the adversary & this time of year:
high temperatures----hot as hell
BBQ & beans-----fire & brimstone
sunburns---- lucifer has red colored skin
skimpy outfits----lust
lazy summer days----slothfulness
high gas prices----greed
summer jobs-----torture
there might be more, but i cannot remember them right now (TOO DAMN DISTRACTED!) but any more you can think of would be cool. but otherwise, what do you think?

One of the fundamental teachings of Jesus Christ was 'to love one another as I have loved you'. Unless I'm greatly mistaken it wasn't 'love one another as I have loved you except for homosexuals!'. As Christians we believe in Jesus as the messiah, it is what seperates us from the other monotheistic religions. The man Jesus was renound for his love and compassion towards those members of society who were outcasts ie. samaritans, lepors and women. I do not understand why it is that the church ignores this aspect of our faith while embracing a single passage from the hebrew scriptures which is the basis for their stance. Do you think the church needs to move forward with the times and allow society to embrace what is surely a more important teaching?
