If every angel mentioned in Scripture is a reference to a male angel, where do people get the idea of female angels from?
and Cherubim are warring angels... Everytime you read about them in scripure they are fighting or have flaming swords.. Who decided to put diapers on them and make them look like babies?

*** Alli R...I am sorry, Cheyanne the angel is not mentioned in the Bible. I am not asking the fact if they have wings. of course I know they have wings. and yes, cheribum angels are depicted as wearing a diaper, and looking like a baby in modern american times.. Thanks for contributing though***

I have often wondered this myself.
Biblically, all angels whom have had names mentioned were of the male gender.
In heaven, God tells us that we will be as the angels, having not marriage, nor given in marriage.
Now, this is not to say that angels cannot or do not appear as a female if God sends them on a mission. In Hebrews, we are told to always be on our best behavior toward one another, because we may have unwittingly entertained an angel.
God would very much send an angel in female form to a man prone to treating women unfaily and without brotherly love.
If I had to guess, I would guess that angels have no gender, as they need none. Names were given in the male form, but it seems that they are not procreating beings.

Women who die in the Lord "are like the angels" so they may LOOK like females still. Just a guess. Angels are "neither male nor female"
Cherubs (same root word) are often depicted as small angels, in all kinds of venues and art. With zillions of angelic beings around I have to believe they are probably young Cherubim or something similar. It could be just a misnomer though and these small beings are not Cherubim at all.

all angels have swords. because they defend whoever believes in God from evil.
angels can be male or female depending on the task assigned to them. it just so happends that angels in the scriptures are males because at those times male are the dominant beings..
cherubims are made to look like babies because they are pure and full of innocence and those are the main characteristics of babies. as for the "diapers" those are just artists depiction... to cover the private parts..so as the painting of these innoccents will have NO malice..

Because not all angels are mentioned in the bible, there are so many angels out in the world it would be impossible to list them all, would you agree?
Cherubim: I guess ones who truly believe in them look past what you recall as diapers and seeing them as babies.

No, Cheyanne, the angel. And no they dont have diapers on, they might not even wear the white robes. Nobody TRUELY know what an angel looks like, but they do have wings, "and with the angel's wings" is in the Bible.

Hah...i don't know.....i feel like angels have no gender. They are not male or female...or any other type of equivalent.....They don't reproduce...they have no need for gender.
Male dominated history.....makes angels males....then feminist today are like...we gotta have our female ones as their reaction.
And the diapers.....not sure where that comes from...but it does sorta show their purity....like babies are pure....
either that...or people are trying to show how old angels are :-)

Angel doesn't belong to any gender. God didn't create angel similar to us human. Should they have male and female angel, they surely busy with their family and be just like us.
