If another religion were to manifest, what would be the teachings of this religion, who would practice this religion, what country would this religion derive from? I am posing this question to reach an understanding of how people view there current stand in religion.

If you believe that God has created us in his image, then we would logically posess his attribute of reason. Do you think he would rather have us worship him because of our love for and appreciation of him, or simply because we fear retribution? True faith is more a trait of those who are drawn to God because of his love, which he wants reciprocated, instead of morbid, unreasoning fear of punishment. Any fear that would be shown to God should be a fear of making him feel hurt by disobeying him. (Please, serious answers only).

It seems wacky to me that a religion that professes to follow jesus doesn't even get it right when it comes to clothing. When jesus was on the earth he was said to wear simple clothes with sandals and whatnot, indeed he was in the lower/working class. Compare that to the bishops, priests and the pope who wear ridiculous hats and robes...much like the over-the-top pharisees that jesus despised. What gives?

PS: Sorry if it comes off that I'm picking on catholics...I honestly view all the religions I've investigated as equally silly, but everytime I see the catholic pope or a bishop, or even a priest on tv, it makes me cringe in embarrasement for them and the people that fall for it.

If Muhammd followed scripture from the existing scripture was that scripture corrupt? If Muhammad did not follow the word of God before the Qu'ran could Muhammad really have been following God before he spoke to Gabriel? If Muhamamd was in agreement with God's word then why is he saying Christ did not atone for sin? If Muhammad did not follow the word of God before Gabriel then could Muhammad be a prophet of God and not be in agreement with God's word? Moses said he could not. Doesn't Muhammad say he agrees with the prophets isnt this a requirement? If Muhamamd agrees with the prophets doesnt he agree that he can not be a prophet of God?

so today i was hit by a car as i was riding my bike. it hit me pretty hard, i rolled over the hood and windshield, and i landed on the concrete about ten, fifteen feet away.

im completely fine, only some bumps and bruises and a really sore shoulder.

at the very least, i should have broken a bone or two. even my ankle, which i thought would have gotten caught between my bike and the car.

so...is that God or what? definitely a miracle...im completely fine, i was able to drive later on in the day, and you can hardly tell i was involved in an accident like that.

I ask this of everyone but I really want to know because I see some Muslims who claim that modest dress is all about trying to avoid sexual advances outside of marriage but I believe it is also about being humble and not arrogant or pretentious. I feel like this is being overlooked.

Regardless of what you believe about modest dress I would like to know if you feel that being modest (in all aspects of life) is related to being humble...?

Think about this.

Atheism is the one true belief that lasted thoughout all these centuries. It originated ever before the advent or religion. It survived every single major religion throughtout the land and througout the times.

Christianity is what 2000 years old, Islam is even younger, Judiasm is 'corrected' by Christianity, Hinduism is a formed by clubbing all the different Indian beliefs into one by Alexander. And the extint religions, Greek, Egyptian and what not.

Throughout all these centuries only one belief can actually say it was there througout and never succumbed.

Atheism.

What if atheism is the true belief. Ever think about that?

a so called pentecostal Christian gets a divorce and sleeps with everyman she has dated?
I am not a follower of the bible but it states that when you get married you are with the person "until death do you part"
so technically speaking she is not alowd in God's eyes to be with another man until her husband dies... am I right or wrong?

I asked a similar quesiton earlier and people just didn't get it. It is a very simple question but is anyone being trained on how to serve God? Besides going to church and thything How do you serve God? What do your teachings say on how to serve God.

Was there ever a greater mass murderer than God then? I don't think so. Think of all the women and children that he killed. What chance did that 3 year old have to become a good person before God watched him drown?

I'm really curious about this. What does the bible say about this? I don't understand how it is justified.
