According to Mormon beliefs he will have the choice after his death to convert or not.. He gets to choose even if temple work is done in his name he is still the one who would choose according to the Mormon beliefs..

It's a good question.
It's little known but the reason the Mormon church has such a big interest in genealogy is so that they can post-mortemly convert the dead to mormonism.
I've heard this from a number of different sources. They have some sort of prayer ritual they believe lets them do this.

When the Pope dies, it will be like a stampede at the temple to baptize this guy, whether his family or the catholic church agrees with it. Most likely, he will be baptized several times.
