Think about this.
Atheism is the one true belief that lasted thoughout all these centuries. It originated ever before the advent or religion. It survived every single major religion throughtout the land and througout the times.
Christianity is what 2000 years old, Islam is even younger, Judiasm is 'corrected' by Christianity, Hinduism is a formed by clubbing all the different Indian beliefs into one by Alexander. And the extint religions, Greek, Egyptian and what not.
Throughout all these centuries only one belief can actually say it was there througout and never succumbed.
Atheism.
What if atheism is the true belief. Ever think about that?

Technically, atheism is the lack of belief 'in God'. Lack of belief doesn't mean anything, it has to be assigned to something. Like Christians are those who believe in Christ, and so on. Just having belief doesn't make you a christian.
So I am 'technically' sound in what I asked. Atheists are those who stood their ground throught all these ages. Religions came and gone, or will fade away in the future.
The other important aspect is that atheism did not change at all. And is not different across different people, it is the same. Whereas religion changed a lot throughout time, across geographies, among people.
There you go, another feather in atheism's crap.
PS: No I am not taking it personally, it was just a logical statement.

That is nice.
It does not per-se make it correct.
However, it has been the logical choice of the thinking man, and woman, throughout mankind's various civilizations.*
* Except in times when failure to have belief in the religion du-jour would gain you fireside chat. With you as the fire. Then the thinking person would profess profound belief. While thinking atheism.

It's NOT a belief at all-- but nice try. By definition it's a lack of a belief. It's like pointing to an empty lot and saying it's somehow a stronger structure than all the buildings surrounding it because some of them fell, some are poorly built and some haven't been around as long. It's a semantic argument at best. It's apples and oranges.

There is nothing logical about a word you said. It's nonsensical. How the hell can atheism "change" and still be atheism? It's like congratulating the vacuum of space for still being space after all these years. Nothing is nothing and doesn't have to struggle to remain nothing. There will always be people who don't believe. If you change Catholicism for instance; and now allow priests to marry, it exists as an altered kind of Catholicism. If you change atheism- say now some believe there might be a tiny god who only hears prayers on every other Tuesday, then the ones who buy this are no longer atheists. The holdouts who don't believe in this little god are unaffected.
Only a belief can be damaged-- not a "non belief". You REALLY don't get this concept???

I'm not certain if you are truly referring to Atheism or to Paganism. Atheism is the ruling out of all religious beliefs, including spirituality. I find that the majority of people would have a hard time doing that. It seems that the ones that do have never seen an egg burst open from a very tiny beak pecking away at its hard interior and the chick finding its way through the entire exterior. I also think it would be difficult for an atheist to go out in the spring time and with time lapse photography view a seed that had dropped the previous year and been covered by ground, only to begin to slowly find its way up through the earth that had been hardened by the winter. It pushes and pushes until finally the earth gives and the seed breaks through and shows its head before growing enough to shed it's shell. It then begins its transformation upon its spindly green stalk to become whatever plant it is destined to become. With these things only to ponder, I will not go into the miracle of human or animal birth, the tides, etc. Perhaps not all people do belong to the traditional and more "socially accepted" religious groups; but many of us are proud to be Pagan and worship in the god and goddess aspect of life.

Technically atheism is a *lack* of belief. As such it doesn't quite fit into the same category as the religions you used as an example so, while you have a point in a general sense it's actually rather meaningless when it comes down to it.
Don't take this as an insult or anything, just something I thought I'd point out.

See but there's nothing to atheism. The fact that it survived doesn't prove crap. It could simply be that people didn't think about religion. They didn't know about it and nothing ever brought it up to them, so they never acknowledged it, and gods were never believed in, hence atheism. So had it been Christianity that lasted all the time, then that's impressive because there is something that you have to believe there, something that you have to think about and then afterwards accept, showing that it made sense and could be real. It shows that it has been seen as making sense throughout all those years. Atheism could only have survived all those years by religion not being thought of because people were really gullible back then.
I am not denouncing atheism. I don't believe in god. But this is simply an invalid argument.

I really don't think of Atheism as any sort of organized religeon
depending on how you define god, I might be one
"the true belief", is and should be an individual and personal thing
believe what makes sense to you, whatever that is

Atheism is not a belief, it is a lack of belief. I suppose as long as there has been believers in silliness, there have been those who chuckle at it.

The fact is Atheism is here to stay, whether people like it or not, the will to strive for greater knowledge and enlightenment will eclipse that of absolute blind faith and ignorance.

Astheism is the only way to attain complete peace of mind and reach our goal. It shows us how to restrain ourselves from entering into unwanted confrontation with our co human beings and also helps us to love the nature and other living things.

Yep, and despite it's logical appeal religions just keep popping up. Perhaps language is too rough a tool for us to describe our spiritual experiences with.
