Heaven is the decision of the Father and is based, in the Unitarian perspective, on concepts of quality of life, personal achievement, devotion, acts of faith, good works, pursuit of justice, etc. We also have to maintain a personal relationship with our Creator and offer ourselves in service and loyalty. We believe in universal salvation and individual redemption. We must follow the life example of Jesus but do not venerate him as an incarnation of God.

Matthew 6:19 says, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal."
Heaven is a wonderful place. If you haven't repented of your sins, accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and lived/are living your life for Him, then I'm afraid your headed towards the other place.

Your time-line is incorrect. Taking it now means you only get to enjoy your misery for about 70-80 years - average. But then the misery will magnify for the next...forever. I don't think those are good returns.

I will be rewarded when I go to Heaven to be with God, this is only a temporary home for us and that is the everlasting home

The wonderful part of Biblical Christianity is that not only will the Lord bless me with pie in the sky by and by when I die, but . . . .
I can have cake on my plate while I wait.
