I asked a similar quesiton earlier and people just didn't get it. It is a very simple question but is anyone being trained on how to serve God? Besides going to church and thything How do you serve God? What do your teachings say on how to serve God.

Estaban- God is one- Your God is my God He has many names like Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We are all His children. It is foolishness to think your God is better than mine because we have the same Supreme Father, just different traditions.

Simply by obeying him and everything he said. I do it by giving my heart and mind to him. I remember him in everything I do because without him I would not be awake as I write this. Before doing any task I say "In the name of Allah, most gracious and merciful". No one can be trained to serve him. Besides for the actual physical prayers 5 times a day and Fasting etc... Remembrance of him and avoidance of sin is the biggest and most beautiful way to serve Allah (swt).

Whatever you do to God is mental and there are no marks for the physical. When we pray we should be absorbed mentally on Him. No other thoughts, but only Him.
When we serve also, we do it mentally. Again no other thoughts, but only Him. It has to be with total obsession to Him. It has to be mental till we have Him physically infront. And when we serve Him mentally, we ask Him, (again mentally), why is He not appearing infront. At this juncture tears should roll out of our eyes, which will mean that we are sincere and not just acting.
Description of anything related to God is difficult and I know the limitations within which this question can actually be answered. No matter how much we try!

Serving the Christian God is following His teachings and guidelines for living, no matter what the situation is.
Life gives us pain and suffering, mean and arrogant people, even the people we loved hurt us the most. But no matter the situation is, God required us to trust in Him, that life experiences ( good or bad ) will shaped us according to His purpose.

We serve God by being kind to our neighbors, meaning our community, both locally and globally. We are encouraged to give frequently to charity, and to do charitable works. Church is just the beginning. That's worship. But serving God means getting up out of the pew and making ourselves useful to someone.

God can be served by one doing meditation sincerely. He sends Saints on this earth to collect His Marked Souls. The marked souls who are initiated by the Saints are supposed to be devoted and sincere in the path to God-so should meditate and proceed on the path-which pleases GOD. He doesnt get pleased by physical service to the Saint or GOD merely, or by reading scriptures or going to religious places. The Marked souls should servw the WORD which leads them to the Lord!

as he loves me.I believe in God, Allah, or Dios, or in the many names we call the creator, the one God that created us all. I practice my belief by attempting to imitate Christ in my daily life. I ask for strength,courage and wisdom to live the best life I can. I sin in word and deed so I ask my God for forgiveness and try again to perfect the imperfections that know I may never conquer. I do not give up nor do I despair. God is great and I am small his love is never ending and pure. So I love my fellow beings without reservation.

I serve God by working with the mentally handicapped for a vocation. I don't go to church. I pray by walking along the river, or working in my garden.

Well I'm a methodist and the way we serve God is to speard his holy word and bring others to him.And to also worship him! lol that sounds so weird now that i think about it but yeah thats it!
