so today i was hit by a car as i was riding my bike. it hit me pretty hard, i rolled over the hood and windshield, and i landed on the concrete about ten, fifteen feet away.

im completely fine, only some bumps and bruises and a really sore shoulder.

at the very least, i should have broken a bone or two. even my ankle, which i thought would have gotten caught between my bike and the car.

so...is that God or what? definitely a miracle...im completely fine, i was able to drive later on in the day, and you can hardly tell i was involved in an accident like that.

maggielynn, i think you misunderstand. other people do not die because God wills it. I don't think he saved me just for the sake of saving me, but rather to a) let me know he's always watching, and b) use it to help spread his glory to others. i don't take pride in the fact that i came out virtually unscathed, rather i see it as an opportunity to spread His message and glorifty Him. I am not better than any other person who may i have ever been hit by a car. everything is done for a reason, i believe, and rather than "keep me alive," i believe it happened so that i may help others and realize He is always there, even when i doubt it.

Stuntmen and acrobats do things like that on purpose all the time. It's all in how you reacted when you were hit. Instinctively or not, you probably didn't tense up and rolled properly. If you had tensed up, you would have been seriously hurt. You STILL may have internal injuries, so don't count your blessings or miracles.

There are no miracles. Only misunderstandings.

I would call it God's providence.

The word miracle usually implies the supernatural. And since your survival can be explained through natural means I can't rightly assume the supernatural.

But, I have no doubt that God was in it, if only to remind you that life is a gift.

Glad you're okay!

Did you go to a hospital and get x-ray-ed?
You could have a tiny fracture on one of your vertebrae.
In which case, you would not hurt or be aware at the moment, but could result in a partial or total paralysis if it becomes unstable. (personal experience)
I hope you got the car driver's id and insurance details!

How egotistical are you exactly. "God" if he does exists decides to show he exists by saving 1 moron from being hit by a car when instead he could
a) save the countless thousands of innocent people dying daily from starvation
b) reverse the effects of global warming
or
c) give us cure for cancer.
Anyone of the above would do.
Seriously get over yourself.

I wouldn't call it a TRUE miracle but I WOULD say that you are one fortunate person to have come through it without serious injury. Glad you're OK, dude.

It is a miracle if you choose to bnelieve it is - and if it makes you happier to believe so.
There are many miraculous things in this world - and they don't necessarily have to be explained by religion.

If a highspeed camera was on you when you were hit sceince could explain exactly why you were uninjured...
