Ok for starters I'm a Christian with high beliefs and nothing you can say will ever change that or turn me into an Athiest. But anyways...ok look since I belive that God created the Universe and everything in it how do you think everything got here? If you believe that its because of the big bang then explain this to me...the theory suggests that everything was tiny particles copacted tightly together. It got so tight and dense that it all exploded and gradually evolved into what it is today. Ok well how did those tiny particles get there? DUH GOD CREATED THEM! What is your opinion on this?

Certain questions on the R&S Site because they walk in the flesh and not the spirit?

Of course it would make sense that any religious or -Godly post where thier might be a hidden message a parable would be foreign to a person who denies the Holy Bible.

The Bible is inspired by GOD who gives that wisdom to man.

If you don't know GOD then you have no wisdom, therefore your brain can only understand foolishness like Spaghetti Monsters and Super heroes.

Why don't you want the ultimate wisdom that only comes from GOD our creator?

When the preachers just preach the same things over and over again , it's kinda redundant.

and when I ask if the Gospel and Torah were ever God's written word you say they were but they were changed?

6:115. The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

Was this scripture God's word or was it not? does it depend on how I ask the question?

I am not trying to be one of the annoying christians that say they dont, I just do not see how they do and thought one of you could explain it to me.

To me, saying a fossil proves evolution (or god or anything of that matter) is like finding an candy wrapper in my desk and claiming I ate an apple.

Exodus 19: 16-20
A thick cloud descends upon the mountain and loud horn sounds. It says the Lord descends upon it in fire. Something which could be related to a UFO craft. The craft hides itself in this smoke.n The whole mountain quakes greatly.

Exodus 19:10-15
It sounds as if God is worried about contracting a disease from the people. Why would it matter? They were required to wash their clothes, not sleep together (in biblical sense), nor touch the mountain. Is also sounds as if he is worried about a mob. If he is so omnipotent then why couldn't he control that?

I propose this is an account of a visit by a species of beings from another world who wanted to help a certain group of people (the Israelites). Was this because earth humans descended from them?

Some christians were upset, others weren't bothered, but that's about it.

A lot of muslims go in for rioting, bombing, burning and killing. Pakistan recalled their Ambassadors. Moderate islamic clerics say that suicide bombings against british people is now justified.

Why is that? Who still thinks islam is a religion of peace?

I, personally, will NOT believe in a man who claims to be sent by Allah (God), the Creator of the Universe, and then sins. Was Allah (God) so incapable as to make His prophets and messengers sinless?

Why would Allah (God) even bother to send a sinning prophet to be an example to a community?

If sin is something that even the prophets and messengers can not avoid, then what is the purpose of sending a religion to the mankind any way?

Does God expect the ordinary people to follow his instructions when his own deputies can not?

The speculation about the pope possibly being the antichrist revolves primarily around Revelation 17:9. Describing the evil end times system symbolized by a woman riding a beast, Revelation 17:9 declares, “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.” In ancient times, the city of Rome was known as “the city on seven hills” because there are seven prominent hills that surround the city

1 John 4:3 tells us how to identify the spirit of the antichrist, "but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

Hi. I think we could all us a minute or two to clear our heads of all the religious/spiritual debates. I know I could!

Let's take this time to talk about anything that may be on our minds. It could be anything. We may even learn something new about each other.

I'm a freelance designer and I may be closing the deal on my biggest contract yet on saturday. Wish me luck!

Its hard not to notice all of the statements referring to Muslims as terrorists. Well, Muslims are not terrorists. SOME Muslims are terrorists just as there are SOME Christians, Jews, Hindus and pretty much any other kind of practitioner of faith who are terrorists. Religion does not drive people to carry out terrorism. Terrorism is usually rooted in cultural/political issues. This is especially true for Muslim terrorists. In fact Al-Qaeda has hijacked many cultural/political conflicts transforming them into their own Perverted Version of Jihad (despite what the clumsy media implies, Jihad is not holy war). Being that groups such as Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, PLO carry out terrorism as part of political agenda over a religious one, Why is Islamic Terrorism such a popular subject in the R/S section? Terrorist leaders will use Islam to justify their actions but they tell these lies because it promotes their cause.

there seems to be a lot of re-occuring numbers in the Bible and I am wondering their significance. For example, 40 days of flooding and Jesus' 40 days in the desert. This is only one example of many, is there a significance?

Don't teach either. Maybe you could possible have both evolution and creation as High School elective courses only and not manditory. That way both sides can be at peace. The Christian parents are not upset that little Sally is being taught evolution againts the parents will. The non-christian parents can feel good that litle Johny is not having Creationism push on them. I think this is a good idea. What do you think?
