The world is sick because it has denied God and His laws for life. Atheists put their faith in worldy systems, the very source of the sickness.

World is sick because it is foretold that it would be and it's going to get worse.

Atheism brings to the world a view on education which is good, and does actually challenge others to look into the truths of the bible so if that is what the "good" is for in the change for the better than I can agree it is good.

I believe one day we will all have our proof, and I choose him now as the world will fall away and all that you may be trying to save. It just simply will.

The world is sick because our thoughts carry energy and power. What we think about and focus on and pray about constantly manifests. Because christianity is such a huge religion and they are always so focused on the end, they are actually manifesting it. The prophecy would hold no power if they didn't believe in it. But since they do, our planet is suffering.

Wow.... that is very strange. As I see it, whenever science tries to make good progress (at least in the USA) the religious groups start picketing and complaining that science is trying to do something immoral. Stem cell research is a good example.

Your Fantasy world is blocking real world progress!

The basic sinful nature of man, which man alone can do nothing about.
Men rely on themselves to make the world better, but it sure doesn't happen.
Only Jesus Christ can affect real change for the better, but things WILL go exactly as He said they would.
Prophecy isn't merely telling what will happen in the future, but also what MUST happen in the future.
It is not His will that any would perish, but men will choose not to believe.

While not believing in fairy stories might be a good start it's hardly a panacea. If people aren't prepared to cooperate with each other to make the world a better place we're screwed, religion or not.

Atheism sets man as the highest order entity whereas religion sets God and Jesus as a higher, nobler entity. As such, atheists need only attempt to rise as high as the lowest depth of human depravity. But with God the bar is set much higher. Much of the "change" in society is a product of atheism but the trend is downward not upward.

Largely atheist nations like Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, et al seem to be doing very well, no?

World strife today is coming from Theistic nations, whether terrorism or invasion/occupation. Even the less recent problems like Kosovo were largely religious.

We've made no pledge to change humanity for the better or for the worst. We just don't believe in any gods. I don't see where you got all that from. However, I do my own small part to make this place better.

Because Atheists don't like to try and change things for the better, they like to sit around whining and feeling superior to others.
