OK, I've been researching this, and when someone asks my religion, I say Wicca. When someone asks what I believe, I say I'm a pagan. When someone asks how I identify myself, I say I'm a witch. The semantics are getting complicated in this area these days.

Why I "believe" it? In my concept, that will have to be edited to "Why do I believe it is the best for me?" This is because Wicca is not a creed, there is not a set of propositions to believe, or a single god or goddess to call the One I believe in, or anything that corresponds to being a "believer" in Christianity. So the why is answered by the above: because it fits me.

When did I start? A gradual process beginning in the late 1970s.

I don't have any religion by now. I believe in the methods used by science to understand life in Universe. I think that religion, in the early times of humanity, served as a protector of the light of the civilization, considering that the methods of investigation in those days didn't exist as we know and use them now. Actually, science is putting away religion as the vanguard and protector of civilization.

Treehugger. I believe in our dear Mother Earth. She nurtures and shelters us. Long ago and far away, ancient wisdom is not unknown...only temporarily forgotten.

In a paragraph??

I have studied Religion for 25 of my 42 years, I cannot describe it in a paragraph, maybe not even in a book.

I have converted to Catholicism, if you want to know why, search here:

www.Catholic.com

Or read the catechism of the Catholic Church.

Good Luck and God Bless!

I have no religion, but am a bible Christian. I believe it because God said it. I began believing because the Holy Spirit prompted me.
