I'm not superstitious, but I do pay attention to cause/effect relationships. I study most things I happen across in life and try to think of all the possible outcomes for every action I encounter. I find that some effects are caused by some pretty unrelated things through the whole seven degrees of separation concept, and because of this, I will react in a precautionary manner sometimes, as a "just in case" precaution. Maybe that would be considered superstitious, in itself, but I don't get in nearly as much trouble now, as I did before I started studying people, their reactions to things, and the manner events tend to unfold.

Hope this helps...

I don't believe in superstition. But I have to admit there are some traditions, I keep, like wearing the same blouse for an exam, because it went well one time. It is obvious that this is not the reason, but somehow it gives peace of mind and helps calm down... so in a way it worked. :)

I have a thing about the number 13 in general. What is really weird is that I have flown on an airplane on that day numerous times. I will be flying to Haiti w/ a mission group again this october 13th. (say a little prayer for me :)

In a casual way, I observe theatre superstitions, but I can't say I truly believe any of them. The professional theatre is my, er, profession--for 54 years now.

Being Russian many of us are brought up believing many of the supersitions (supersticious nation we are!), so even though i know that logically it's very silly, i often can't help but knock on the wood if i say something bad is going to happen and stuff like that, because i was brought up that way.

Not really, eventhough I kid about it.

However, I do believe in some level of karma...that when you do good things, help others...good things happen to you...

But, when you do bad things, cut someone off in traffic...accept too much change back at the grocery...that bad things happen to you...kinda Biblical too...you will reap the harvest of the seed you sow.

No. I don't. Life is a continous process. Bad things happen, good. People try to over complicate the causes of their suffering.
