I know that Christianity is the one true religion because I have experienced the forgiveness of sins. What would you prefer? A God- that forgives and loves, or a "god" and "goddess" that punish you every time you do something wrong? Granted as a Christian- I strive to please the One true living God- however at times I fail- but I know when I go to Him and confess and repent- turn from my sin, back to God, He forgives does not punish. If you do not accept Christ their is eternal punishment- but with Christ eternal life with God, forgiven forevermore-

I think u have not understood Hinduism properly.According to Hinduism ur bad karmas will ultimately lead to bad results. It is a false thing to say that god will " punish " u for ur bad karma.God never punishes ne1 , bcause He is God.
Sin n punishment , Hell , Heaven , jesus, forgiveness... blah blah blah .... is all christian fundas.
I would like to to ask u --- when a Soldier dies in iraq or afghanistan..... i can say that he died for christians. That he has died for all ur sins n he is also jesus.
If a person dies for u , then he should b also considered as god.
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE WHICH WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING VERY NICELY ---
American soldiers poured thousands of liters of " agent orange" on vietnamese people, bcause of which till now so many vietnamese r born abnormally. In a way , all these soldiers have sinned. So according to christianity what these soldiers need to do ----- NOTHING. JUST GO TO A CHURCH N CONFESS UR KILLINGS N GOD WILL " FORGIVE" U........LOL

What they have really done is bad karma.... n they will pay for it.....now or later........bcause this is God's universe. When they will adequately perform good karmas , they can attain moksha.

(1)You have not correctly understood Hindu Religion.Hinduism does not say God/Goddess punish you for bad Karma(Dush Karma).Your Dush Karma(bad action) itself punishes you and Sat karma(Samaritan action) rewards you.First the balance Sat Karma-(minus)Dushkarma has to be worked out(Paapa Saamyam).By praying God/Goddess one can diminish the the residual sin and reduce the punishment to nil.

(2)If I understand Christianity rightly,it says by birth itself a person is a sinner(whether one commits a sin or not) and God' messiah takes all the Sin on Himself and rescues you from punishment and you have to beleive Him only and you have no alternative path.

(3) Hinduism does not accept this stand--because the Soul(Aatman) never commits a sin .Only the material body (Mind and Body) commits the Sin and it can be completely eradicated by prayers.

The way you can tell what is right you can read the bible and see what God has done for thousands of years. The bible was written over a long period of time and was finaly finished a few thousand years ago. But yet there are prophisise still being fullfiled today. The bible talks about a generation that will stand up and regect their own parents and will kill their own parents and the children will be out of control. There were many prophisies that were full filled about the Jews being scattered about the earth and they are going to be presicuted and looked down upon. That is just what happend in WWII with Adolf Hittler killing millions of Jews and people still make little jokes about Jews.

It comes down to the disparate teachings on life after death. For Christians, there is only this one life and therefore our immortal soul is faced with eternity in either heaven or hell. As this is our one and only chance around, so Christian teaching goes, we need the opportunity for forgiveness in order to reassure ourselves before death that our a*s is not going to be fried in the eternal wok.

Hinduism believe in reincarnation, the cycle of life and death whiere our next life is determined by our actions in the world and the accumulation of different karmas. If we lead a bad life and accumulate too much negative karma then we stand the prospect of coming back as an insect, a lowly animal or even a Tory politician, whichever is worse.

Each of these is right for the individual believer, and neither is right if you do not wish to believe.

I can't speak for Hindus, but Christians would say that Hindus aren't *completely* wrong, because Hinduism is one of many attempts by man to explain God's Law. What I would say to a Hindu is that when Jesus lived a perfect life and yet took the punishment normally reserved for evil works, He broke karma and made it possible for everyone to spend eternity in union with God. Yeah, that's the over-simplified version, but it's a starting place. ;-)

Unfortunately the only way to prove anything is to die and hope that where ever you go they'll let you make one phone call :)

They're both equally wrong. When you get your rules from a book that was written by a bunch of horny hermits you're bound to encounter some problems.

well, I know who is right...

How do you know? did any of the Hindu gods die and rise again? Does Hinduism have profits, and have their prophesies come true?

God (Christian) will only forgive you of your sins if you repent of them...
