The Quranic description of certain stages in the development of the embryo corresponds exactly to what we today know about it. After ‘the thing which clings’, the Quran informs us that the embryo passes through the stage of ‘chewed flesh’, then tissue appears and is clad in flesh:

“We fashioned the thing which clings into a chewed lump of flesh and We fashioned the chewed flesh into bones, and We clothed the bones with intact flesh”. (23:14).

It was only during the nineteenth century that people had a slightly clearer view of this question.

All the afore mentioned and many other modern scientific concepts found abundantly in the Glorious Quran, that was revealed 14 centuries ago, with utmost accuracy and free from any error, prove beyond any iota of doubt the divine source of its revelation.

Why haven't you prayed yet?

Why do non-believers reject this basic fact? It's in the Unibible: Zathryus 4: 12-13: 'Lo, beholdeth. For My single-pointed Sons hath made merry and in their merriment the spotteth existeth where no lighteth can emergeth.'

When I received my missionary lessons, I would told that the LDS faith is all about eternal families, a man and woman get sealed together for time and all eternity and their whole family is together forever. So what's up with the scripture in D&C about polygamy? I asked my branch president about it and he said that God "commanded us to do it" and that if "done righteously" it's a blessing not a sin. I don't agree with that at all. I don't think god EVER intended for people to be polygamous. When I joined the Church, I thought polygamy was just a stereotype from past Mormon practices, I didn't know they still believed in and practiced it today. This is just scary and an abomination.

One of the most subtle discoveries in science concerns the expansion of universe, its tendency constantly to extend its boundaries. This was something completely unknown to the human being until the last century. This mystery is, however, mentioned by the Quran in the following terms, which again bear witness to its remarkable profundity when discussing such matters:

“We created the heavens(universe) with Our strength and power, and constantly expand them”. (51:47)

Did you pray today?

Okay, here's a metaphor for you (compliments of another question asked yesterday, which got me thinking, since the other answer wanted to find out the health benefits of the water)

Let's say you are stranded in a desert and have no water. Your car broke down and your cell phone is not working because you are too far away. No other car has been by so you had to abandon your vehicle to walk the 80 miles to town. Time is running out and you can't wait until dark to travel.

Your water jugs are now completely used up and you're really thirsty. At last, you come up to a water wagon, ran by a man who has the water already bottled up and it's waiting for you. The man has a t-shirt on that says, Jesus loves you and so do I. Will you get a drink of water, or would you keep crawling?

What if you had kids with you and it had been several hours since you ran out of water and it's really hot out and your kids are dehydrated?

Since Jesus did not come back when he was supposed too.... Wouldnt that mean that christianity is a false religion. If the world ends in the year 2012 (like many christians now claim) wouldnt that prove that the mayan and aztec religions are the true relgions and christianity is fake...?

non Christians call Christians closed minded when we dont see things their way and accept their way of life in us. I think that we would all get along better if we would stop expecting otheirs to accept what they find unacceptable

just a random question.
there is so much adultery in the world and people seem to fall so easily. even through internet contact. senario:your chatting in a chat room, meet someone of the opposite sex that you like talkin to online, you both are married (or at least one of you is), you two exchange phone numbers and have long conversations on the phone when you both can be alone, (lets say from like 10 am to 3pm) you live in two different states, and now there are feelings developing and you two end up fallin in love (if thats even possible), so now here you are married and so is the other person (possibly) but you love someone else, lets say that the relationship between the two of you have been ended 2 or 3 times because one spouse found out, so they let it cool off for a few months then it starts all over again. why is it so hard to break? why is so strong? is there a christian reason for this? what steps do a christian take to get over it? is this part of spiritual warfare?

Do tell.

I've recently read "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris and "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. I'm working on "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" and I just purchased "End of Faith" by Sam Harris. Then what's next? I'm thinking of purchasing "The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster". Is this sold in book stores and is it a good read?

Is it the same as the end times and the second coming? All of which have been happening 'soon' for about 2000 years. Why is it that every christian generation believes it is going to happen in their lifetime?! Can't they understand that people have been saying the SAME THING for years and years!!
