While I wish you wouldn't stoop to their level and generalize them like that, I can only agree with you. All the Atheists here seem to spend all their time making stupid questions just to bash Christians. I'll admit, sometimes Christians can get a bit to serious every now and then, some of them even embarrass me when they make Hell threats and stuff. Maybe if Atheists would be a bit more sensible instead of just screaming stuff like:
"Christianity is NOT real, it's just a big lie, LIES, LIES, LIES!!" Then maybe Christians would be more willing to listen to their oppenions.

I always wonder, 'why are mean people mean?' There are plenty of very friendly atheists here. There are plenty of friendly Agnostics, Muslims, Christians, etc.
Same can be said for mean people in each of these groups. I've met all kinds of mean people, from every persuasion.
I have a couple of good friends who I had always thought were mean. The truth is they were being brutally honest, and didn't intend to hurt people. They just had limited social skills, but are very good hearted people.
Tough to generalize.

Slayn, serious dude, RedQueen is right , lose the angry avatar.
This is not coming from an atheist, I believe in God, so I am not trying to just ruffle your feathers, but seriously.
How can you point the finger at people being so vitriolic, you have that miserable looking avatar. What is that all about?

While I am what I define as christian, I think you need to look at yourself as well. My grandfather was a deacon at his church, all the while molesting me for years, (just an example). What about christians who break every single commandment and still stand proud as christians? Sometimes the folks who make it hardest for us to be christians, are christians themselves. People are just people, warts and all. If anything, I feel sorry for those folks who don't have the boundless grace and love I get from my creator. They are really missing out. However, the greatest commandment, according to the Bible is, "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your heart, and to love others as you love yourself." Can you say you do that? Until you can, Judge others as you, yourself would like to be judged. For you will be judged as you judge. Your question was quite judgemental, as well as harsh, and nasty. You may have one finger pointed at them, but you have three pointing back at you. Remember how important it is to love yourself and others unconditionally, no matter what. I'm not saying I can follow that to the letter either, but I do try to keep it in mind... but never-the-less...Blessed Be...

There are Atheists who are mean, but there are also Christians and others who claim a specific religion that are mean and hateful.
Just look at Jerry Fallwell, he was the pinnacle of Christianity for some people and he was one of the most vile, evil men on earth. He did not speak for most Christians, so don't lump all Athiests together either

Well ok some are but it seems you are blind to the religious people you like to post "you are going to burn in hell for eternity" to atheists. Now I have gone to school and in no way is that a cuddly little note that should make you feel good.
If religious are going to condemn others to burn and suffer for eternity for thinking differently then be prepared for the equally strong responses.

I have met some atheists that are not mean, just very sensitive because they are a minority and that makes them defensive to people who have a soul and believes in the Almighty! They feel they have to fight for their belief, or should I say DISBELIEF. lol

Oh, stop with the fingerpointing, already. Everybody here (religious, atheist and everything in between) speaks their mind. There's more frustration in here than true anger.

not that I am an atheist (more agnostic), but I honestly find christians to be more aggressive and caustic than any atheist I've ever known. christians always look down on certain behaviors they disagree with are they are always trying to convert people. I say if your religion brings you happiness than more power to you, but be willing to accept that NO religion is what brings happiness to some people.
