Those people that do good get punishment in return, BUT the evil doers get rewards continuously. What is the reason? In order words, the good actions are rewarded with reversals while the destructive and damaging actions are rewarded with fame, fortune, etc.

Christianity is an incredibly diverse religion yet a lot of Atheists here attack Christianity with volatile over generalizations. Not all Christians believe in creationism, that the Bible is the literal word of God, non-Christians are going to Hell among the numerous other assumptions. These attacks only provoke the fundamental Christians and demonstrate the complete lack of understanding of Christianity by many atheists on this site.

What is the point of this and where are the Atheists who are knowledgeable of religion?

Alligators, Crocs, Geckos, and Gila Monsters are here today. Noah must have had room for them. Your comments?

Christians believe that Eve came from Adams rib. That seems harder to believe than Jesus had sex with Mary Magdalene.

What do you think?

then why is it there were no fish (or other sea life) skeletons ever found like in a desert?

think about it your a fish the entire earth is water you swim and you swim eventually the flood waters get to the point where we have solid land again there had to be a couple of big types of fish on land at the time god "flushed"(for lack of a better term)

these fish would die due to lack of water and then after years of decomposition would have left a fossil why where they never discovered?

Let me qualifiy that question a bit. I more mean this question to non-Christians who actively mock Jesus. Many atheists and non-Christian theists wouldn't do that.

Because only the most radical of atheists deny He existed, and not a single person throughout history has been able to accuse Him of doing even a single thing that's mean.

So even if you don't believe He is the Son of God, you can't deny His teachings are lovely: be kind, be loving, be forgiving...

So when you mock Him, is it because you dislike Him? Or is it because - rightly or wrongly - you dislike Christians and want to hurt feelings? And some Christians are dreadful, so I'd understand why.

Long question, am sorry, but genuinely curious.

Thank you. x

Jesus said if people had the faith of mustard seeds they'd move mountains.

Anyone notice any moving mountains lately?

Doesn't that mean there isn't one christian with the faith of a mustard seed?

If they have so little faith of their own, why invite me to have as little faith as they have?

May I suggest the "Sweaty Mexican"?

Easy--here we go:

1 shot Tequila (I prefer Sauza Hornitos, for the $)
1 Tablespoon of Hellman's mayonnaise

Then, all you have to do is toss it in a shaker, but don't use ice. That takes the "sweaty" out.

I was reading through all the wonderful prayers sent to Debra's husband for her. As I was reading YA deleted the question...
I know that he will be uplifted by all the prayer, love and support for her.

Is there anyway to keep a question on for her? Or start a group that they could see?

No one's scared of homosexuals, not like homo"phobics" start sweating in the presence of homosexuals, nor do they wake up screaming if they had had a dream about them, so why the Phobia part?

It's more like hate, not fear.

But how i see it, real men are trying to protect their kind (Humanity), it's only a natural reaction, because if we were all gay, humans would be extinct within 100 years max.

Please try to be open minded in your answers.

Disclaimer: I am in no way "Homophobic", please don't close down my account, i mean no harm in my posts, just a unique point of view.

I think a woman has her own reasons to abort. Some are girls, who can't keep their baby for financial problems, or because they simply need to keep going to school. It isn't right to make a decision for someone. Only they know for what reasons they are doing an abortion. Is it wrong to be a Catholic and not be against abortion??

Where the wars so often cited by militants (the Crusades, etc.) primarily religious in nature, or did their root causes stem from other factors such as economics, nationalism, and territorial expansion - as many experts in the field suggest? Or is the truth somewhere in between?

I know this question has been asked before, but this has a different spin and may be better suited for the science board. I am asking AS an agnostic as opposed to a theist/creationist POV. I am therefore hoping for some great ideas on the subject. I want to see what kind of ideas out there and how they compare to my own.

I realize there may be some 'jading' on this subject as most of the time if it is asked, its is done so facetiously. It arose from trying to analyze what is wrong with a theist/creationist line of questioning on this subject. There is nothing wrong with the question if it is asked genuinely. It is rarely ever done so; I am doing so now...

I acknowledge that there will be 'quips' and 'grips' from 'drips' and 'dips' on the other side. They will be short and easy to pass over...

I posted this on another question. Feel free to add your suggestions:

I would think a "Pascal's Wager" would have to contain all of the liquors that the bar has to offer, in one fiery, abysmal, and potentially deadly cocktail.

However, the gag is, when you ask the bartender to make it, you get to choose ONE liquor that you want to be safe from, and he won't put that one in there.

However, if you are an atheist, you don't get to choose that one, so I guess we will get drunk slightly faster. But after the stomach pump, I don't think anyone will care.

Would we still know God. If the bible was never written, we wouldn't no who God is.

Who is to say that the bible is true and not someones imagination?

This is a serious question and I would really like to know what you think about this!

as ridiculous, but cling to the stories of Jesus doing the same.

Isn't it obvious that people were gullible back then, and the same superstitious stories circulated about many different people?

Jesus wasn't the first person to have his followers claim he was born to a virgin or that he rose from the dead or even that he ascended to heaven.

It was practically common place by the time the Jesus cult did it.

So why do the Christians dismiss the other stories, which are backed by as much evidence as their versions?

According to Genesis 6,7, this 'god' drowned all the babies in the world during what amounts to a godly temper tantrum.

I'm just not impressed with those kinds of cosmic credentials. No true God would behave in such a way, yet this bible requires me to believe that one did.

Not going to happen. If I'm to worship a God, it had better be one I can respect.

Not all but some. How can you justify disowning your own child? What is it about religion that can make a person do that? Why would someone value a scripture more then their own flesh and blood?

Degredation/oppression of women?
Child abuse?
Giving money to the church but not to fellow man?
Creating war?
Destroying the planet?
Lying?

I would like to know why the bible and christians make such a big deal about two people of the same sex loving one another, but seem to be okay with the above issues.
