You're kidding, right? Christianity has always been the biggest religion in the world since Charlamane made it the official religion of the Roman Empire. (It was Catholicism then, btw.) And, while Catholicism may be losing members, Protestant sects, particularly the Evangelical movement and Fundamentalism have been increasing since the 1960s.
So, no, I don't think it's funny even though it overlooked the rise in Islam. I do think it's funny that you are so ignorant about the facts. Maybe, sad is a better word.

Here's some information I found. Unfortunately, I had to use alternative sources for the numbers concerning atheism, since many religious studies lump all non-religious people into one category.
Christianity in 1994: 33.6% 1,901,148,000 people
Islam in 1994: 18.3% 1,033,453,000 people
Atheism in 1994: 4.2% 239,111,000 people
Christianity in 2005: 33.06% 2.1 billion people
Islam in 2005: 20.28% 1.3 billion people
Atheism in 2005: 6.5% 410 million people
If these numbers are accurate, Christianity has gained additional members but has lost its overall percentage. Islam has grown by almost 11% (as a rate, not overall). Atheism had grown by a rate of almost 50%. So, which are we to believe is the fastest growing system of beliefs in the world?

Uhh,
You sound extremely ignorant.
Christianity is not growing in North America...
However, it happens to be spreading like a firey wind through places like Africa, far middle-east (very far east) and Asia (particularly China)
Thirty-three percent of the world is currently "Christian", with the other sixty-seven percent being divided among other religions or Atheism. (Well, Atheism is a religion isn't it?)
Over 1/3rd of the world seems very dominant to me.
Please don't be so ignorant in future,
Phil
PS: Did you know that everquest, an online game is almost as rich as Russia, and one PP on the game is worth more than the Spanish paso and the Japanese Yen?

As a christian, you need to read something other than a book from the 60's. Try the Bible to start with. Second, the Bible talks about the fall of chistianity in the days of the end. Nothing new there, so what's the point?

positive. a salesclerk knocked on the door of a house in a clean housing progression and a woman replied the door. He began, "Ma'am, i'm merchandising the latest innovation in vacuums, it particularly is the ultimate little device I even have considered in a protracted time," and with that, he proceeded to offload on her new carpet a mixture of ketchup, salsa, dirt, grape juice, and so on. as she watched, horrified. He mentioned, "If this vacuum would not freshen up that mess, i'm going to consume it!" She mentioned, "could you like a fork?! we've not have been given the potential on yet!"

While I'd very much like to believe your assumption that Christianity is not the world's dominant religion, the facts are thus: Christianity is the world's largest religion with 2.1 billion followers, with a 33% market share of all 'believers'. If you have non-anecdotal data showing market share is decreasing, I'd very much like to see it. Thanks.

What I find funny is your lack of punctuation (man, that is one heck of a run-on sentence), your errors in usage and the simple fact that "This is what I find funny" is not a question whatsoever.
But no, I don't think that is funny at all. When I hear that people are leaving the one true faith of God and embracing false religions, atheism and outright apostosy, it breaks my heart.

In reality Christianity is declining world wide.
