When it comes to apostasy, people want to scream that it's the RELIGION of Islam that says to kill apostates even though it's pure culture and man made shariah. When muslims try to point out the fact that no matter what any hadith says, the Quran says to leave them alone and not to touch them, the haters go further trying to say that muslims follow culture, tradition, and hadith above Quran (true muslims will not). In Islam, it's a fact that you may not kill apostates. So why do Christians claim there is no such thing in the bible when this very verse proves it?

Why when the Quran says to leave them alone do they work so hard to say it does, even though it doesn't, when the bible has the actual words?

Why do people get all bent out of shape and hateful over who's beliefs are right? I don't believe that there is a single Religion that can be Proven or Disproved. This goes for people who do not practice religion too.

In church yesterday the sermon talked about speaking in tongues and that it was a sign of the holy spirit. Im new in Christ and am still learning about many things. I talked to the brothers and sisters afterwards about tongues and am confused is tongues a gift of the spirit? I was also told that if i prayed for the holy spirit I would get the gift of tongues. I feel dumb not knowing but are tongues everyones experience or a gift for a few like prophecy?

It has repeatedly been proven that the speed of light is constant at a rate circa 186,000 miles per second.

It is a fact, not a theory.

And if we use the width of our orbit around the sun as a base line, and measure the angle between the sun and a star when we're on one side of our orbit, and again when we are on the other side of our orbit, we can use those two angles to form a triangle. Since we know the size of the baseline, we can use trigonometry to determine the distance to the star.

Trigonometry is a fact, not a theory.

Using this method, we have found stars that are tens of thousands of light-years away from us (a light year is the distance light travels in one year).

If God made the universe 6000 years ago, we wouldn't be able to see these stars as their light would not have had enough time to reach us.

Yet we see the stars.

How do you explain this?

The Barna Group is a conservative Evangelical Christian polling organization that keeps statistics on religion. They recently completed a survey on atheists.

I think they missed a couple things. First of all, if atheists make more money, I haven't seen it among my friends. (Maybe I should make them buy me more stuff! :-) Secondly, if atheists are as disengaged from mainstream political parties as they say, it could be because both main parties are trying to appeal to people of faith.

Also, isn' t that graphic (a little church in rifle cross hairs) really provocative? I've *never* seen an atheist site or newsletter use a graphic like that, ever. Yet Christians think they can use it for atheists. Why not a pansy or Flying Spaghetti Monster? Could it be because that wouldn't literally demonize atheists?

Also can someone point out a scripture that clearly states that animals do not have a soul? I've heard a lot of people say the bible says they don't have souls and they won't get into heaven but nobody has pointed out where it says that.
Not that it would change my opinion any I would still like to see it. I believe we are God's greatest creation but he still cares for his other creations.

I see fellow Christians that have the passion and the love for Christ that they would tell the world if they could about Jesus Christ and His saving grace. This is wonderful.

There is much that a Christian can do but there is something that only God can do and that is convict the sinner of their sins. An atheist for example cannot come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ unless the Spirit of God opens their eyes to see God. For them this makes no sense because their eyes are closed.

I am not saying give up on spreading the gospel but I am saying do only your part and the rest leave it to God because it takes a supernatural intervention of the Holy Spirit for them to be convicted in their heart firstly of God's love and then of their sinful life. Pray more and more prayer

I don't think one could answer when anyone will get the message but if you want to try by all means, look forward to your reply

Okay. Let me start out by making three points.


1. Scientists cannot measure distances beyond 100 light years accurately. There aren't rulers that big to do that here on Earth.

2. No one knows what light is or that it always travels the same speed throughout all time, space and matter. All we know is God created it.

3. The creation was finished or mature when God made it. Adam was full-grown, the trees had fruit on them, the starlight was visible, etc.

A star may have been created in the outer space so distant that its light would take a long time to reach the earth, and yet the age of the star does not affect the age of the earth. The Bible did not state that all the galaxies in the universe were created at the same time. God has an eternity to create the universe. The One True God created light by just speaking the word and everything, including the stars, were created instantly in that way.

Genesis 1
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Jeremiah 32
17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Again, if it were correct then Genesis and all of God's Word would be in contradiction. This is impossible since God is real since the Bible say's He is. Therefore Evolutionism is false.

There are two churches in the atlanta area that I know of for sure that make sure you have good credit or at least a checking account before you get in. My friends sister works at one of these churches and she has locks (or dreads) and she has to wear a wig. She cant even be herself and love her own hair because of her job at "church". Can you guess what two I'm referring to?

But its church, why do you need to check my credit? Does anyone know of other churches like this?

Hello, all! I pray that you are doing well today. Today I want to address, US, as sheep. Over and over God refers to us as sheep. "All we like sheep have gone astray" Isaiah; "My sheep hear my voice" John; "We are.....the sheep of His pasture" Psalm; "Feed my sheep" John..........and there is many more.
Sheep are the dumbest of all animals. They are helpless, timid, and feeble, they require constant attention and meticulous care. They have little means of self-defense. If they do not have the constant care of the shepherd, they will go the wrong way, unaware of the dangers at hand. Why did God create them that way? It is believed that He had a two-fold purpose. First, to show us our total, absolute poverty of spirit, and second, to show us our need of a shepherd. The welfare of the sheep depends solely upon the care they get from their shepherd.

I love all kinds of music, including contemporary christian music, but one thing bothers me.

Every time a song comes out that is about God or seems spiritual, they will play the song once it's recorded by a christian artist, but not by the original person.

Why is that? The message of that particular song came throught the original artist, not just the christian band. Not to mention that they never, ever do as good a job as the original.

Just curious. Does this bother anyone else?

Any Christian will tell you the religion of Carbon Dating is WRONG. Why? Since if it were correct then Genesis and all of God's Word would be in contradiction. This is impossible since God is real since the Bible say's He is. Therefore, Carbon Dating is false.


Evolutionismists say that dinosaurs died out 65 trillion years ago. Yeah right, how stupid is that? I already dissproved that in the Carbon "Dating" discussion. Dinosaurs in the older days were called dragons. All of the dragons were slain in the Dark Ages by knights since they were evil lizards after the great flood. The Bible clearly mentions these dragons over and over again throughout the whole book:

Job 30:29
I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.

Psalm 44:19
Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

Psalm 91:13
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps


Dinosaur is just a new name to fool us into believing the Evolutionismist's lies, changing dragon to dinosaur. So how can they say trillions of years when the Bible says 6,000 years and we find the skeletons of these dragons buried with humans sometimes even! Let me show you what I mean:
